Abstract. receptacle, electrical digital interface bus connector. require conformance to the IEEE 488 interface standard, and require termination of a 1.27 millimeters (.O50 inch) flat cable. and shal

3、l not be used in military systems needing stringent environmental and electrical requirements. Part or Identifyinq Number (PIN). This commercial item description (CID) covers the general requirements for a polarized shell, This connector can be used in applications that Connectors covered by this CI

5、EEE 488. Contacts. The contacts shall be formed of a high conductive, high strength nickel plating in the contact area. Connector housinqs. Connector housings shall be molded from self-extinguishing black thermoplastic material for high impact and dielectric strength. a shall be as specified on copp

6、er alloy with gold over Connector shields. Connector hardware. Termination wire ranqe. Connector shields shall be made of die cast zinc with nickel plating. Connector hardware shall be made of zinc plated carbon steel. Terminations shall be insulation displacement type which accommodate 1.27 millime

7、ters (.O50 inch) centerline flat cable conductor with wire ranges of 26-30 AUG solid or 28 AWG stranded wire. Contact rating. Termination resistance. The contact resistance shall be 22 milliohms maximum initial for mated connectors Contacts shall be rated at 1 ampere maximum at +2SC. and 12 mi llioh

8、ms initial for unmated connectors. Dielectric withstandinq voltage. There shall be no breakdown of the insulating material when subjected to 1000 V ac for 1 minute between adjacent contacts of the mated connector assemblies. Matinq force. Unmatinq force. Durability. Durability shall consist of 200 c

9、ycles of mating and unmoting and upon completion the Connector mating force shall not exceed 3.12 newtons (0.7 pound) maximum per contact. Connector unmating force shall not exceed 0.89 newton (0.20 pound) minimum per contact. ? termination resistance shall not exceed a change greater than 10 millio

10、hms maximum from the initial * resistance. There shall be no indication of physical damage. 4 Operating temperature. The operating temperature range shall be from -4OOC to +75OC.
