11、ion”. The responsible German body involved in its preparation was the DIN-Normenausschuss Bibliotheks- und Dokumentationswesen (NABD) (DIN Standards Committee Information and Documentation), Working Committee NA 009-00-10 AA Lnderzeichen. The modifications resulting from ISO 3166-1 Corrigendum 1 whi

12、ch are relevant for Part 3 of the standard have been taken over in the present version of DIN ISO 3166-3. The DIN Standards corresponding to the International Standards referred to in Clause 2 of this standard are as follows: ISO 3166-1 DIN EN ISO 3166-1 ISO 3166 was first published in 1974. It was

21、icable coded representations of names of countries (current and non-current), dependencies, and other areas of particular geopolitical interest and their subdivisions. ISO 3166-1 establishes codes that represent the current names of countries, dependencies, and other areas of particular geopolitical

22、 interest, on the basis of lists of country names obtained from the United Nations. ISO 3166-2 establishes a code that represents the names of the principal administrative divisions, or similar areas, of the countries etc. included in this part of ISO 3166. This part, ISO 3166-3, establishes a code

23、that represents non-current country names, i.e. the country names deleted from ISO 3166 since its first publication in 1974. The three parts of ISO 3166 do not express any opinion whatsoever concerning the legal status of any coun-try, dependency, or other area named herein, or concerning its fronti

24、ers or boundaries. NOTE 1 ISO 3166-1 was first published in 1997 and ISO 3166-2 was first published in 1998. NOTE 2 ISO 3166-1 and ISO 3166-2 are not included in the same document as ISO 3166-3.
