This standard has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 72 “Textile machinery and machinery for dry-cleaning and industrial laundering” in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 214 “Textile machinery and acce

5、ssories” (Secretariat: SNV, Switzerland). The responsible German body involved in its preparation was the Normenausschuss Maschinenbau (Mechanical Engineering Standards Committee), Technical Committee NA 060-26-12 AA Wscherei-maschinen of Section Wscherei- und Chemischreinigungsmaschinen. Representa

6、tives of manufacturers and users of textile machinery, industrial laundry and dry-cleaning machinery, of the employers liability insurance association Textil und Bekleidung and of the Working Group Wscherei contributed to this standard. Amendment of the European Machinery Directive has made it neces

7、sary to review the previously valid standard, EN ISO 10472-3:1997-12, in terms of the essential requirements of the new European Machinery Directive, 2006/42/EC. This standard contains specifications meeting the essential requirements set out in Annex I of the “Machinery Directive”, Directive 98/37/

8、EC, (valid until 28 December 2009) and the “revised Machinery Directive”, Directive 2006/42/EC, which takes effect on 29 December 2009, and which apply to textile machinery, industrial laundry and dry-cleaning machinery that are either first placed on the market or commissioned within the EEA. This

9、standard serves to facilitate proof of compliance with the essential requirements of the directives. Once this standard is cited in the Official Journal of the European Union, it is deemed a “harmonized“ standard and thus, a manufacturer applying this standard may assume compliance with the requirem

10、ents of the Machinery Directive (“presumption of conformity”). The International and European Standards referred to in clause 2 of this document have been published as the corresponding DIN EN or DIN EN ISO Standards with the same number, except for those below, which correspond as follows: ISO 6182

26、ation (ISO) and has been taken over as EN ISO 10472-3:2008 by Technical Committee CEN/TC 214 “Textile machinery and accessories” the secretariat of which is held by SNV. This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsem

27、ent, at the latest by April 2009, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by December 2009. EN ISO 10472-3:2008 (E) DIN EN ISO 10472-3:2009-10 IntroductionThis part of ISO 10472 is intended to instruct the designer of industrial laundry machinery in a systematicmanner, focusing on his particular type of machine, regarding the relev

32、ant essential safety requirements,and to suggest possible state-of-the-art safety solutions.The extent to which hazards are covered is indicated in the scope of this part of ISO 10472. In addition,machinery should comply as appropriate with ISO/TR 12100-1 and ISO/TR 12100-2 for hazards which are not

33、specifically referred to in this part of ISO 10472.All examples given in this part of ISO 10472 represent the state of the art. Equivalent solutions areacceptable, provided they attain at least the same safety level.The designer is presumed to have taken into account all the provisions of ISO 10472-

34、1 before consideringthis part of ISO 10472.DIN EN ISO 10472-3:2009-10 EN ISO 10472-3:2008 (E) 41 ScopeThis part of ISO 10472 covers, together with ISO 10472-1, most significant hazards associated with washingtunnel lines including component machines such as: continuous tunnel washing machines; squee

35、ze presses or centrifugal extraction machines; transfer conveyor systems; automatic transfer tumblers; loading or unloading system interfaces; access platform and ladders.This part of ISO 10472 does not cover particular hazards for continuous stand-alone washing lines forendless towels.This part of

36、ISO 10472 does not cover the hazards caused by processing work which may create anexplosive or flammable atmosphere inside the machine.This part of ISO 10472 complements the basic requirements laid down in ISO/TR 12100-1 andISO/TR 12100-2. It also gives guidance to the designer on assessing the risk

37、s associated with the hazards(see EN 1050) and on selecting measures for attaining the required safety level.This part of ISO 10472 does not apply to ancillary equipment, e. g. chemical store and supply pumps, steamvalves and supply pipework, vent systems, work feed systems and discharge systems and
