4、f the European Machinery Directive has made it necessary to review the previously valid standard, EN ISO 10472-2:1997, in terms of the essential requirements of the new European Machinery Directive, 2006/42/EC. This standard contains specifications meeting the essential requirements set out in Annex

5、 I of the “Machinery Directive”, Directive 98/37/EC, (valid until 28 December 2009) and the “revised Machinery Directive”, Directive 2006/42/EC, which takes effect on 29 December 2009, and which apply to textile machinery, industrial laundry and dry-cleaning machinery that are either first placed on

6、 the market or commissioned within the EEA. This standard serves to facilitate proof of compliance with the essential requirements of the directives. Once this standard is cited in the Official Journal of the European Union, it is deemed a “harmonized” standard and thus, a manufacturer applying this

7、 standard may assume compliance with the requirements of the Machinery Directive (“presumption of conformity”). The International and European Standards referred to in clause 2 of this document have been published as the corresponding DIN EN or DIN EN ISO Standards with the same number, except for t

28、tion (ISO) and has been taken over as EN ISO 10472-2:2008 by Technical Committee CEN/TC 214 “Textile machinery and accessories” the secretariat of which is held by SNV. This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorseme

29、nt, at the latest by April 2009, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by December 2009. Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights. CEN and/or CENELEC shall not be held responsible for identifyin

DIN EN ISO 10472-2:2009-10 EN ISO 10472-2:2008 (E) IntroductionThis part of ISO 10472 is intended to instruct the designer of industrial laundry machinery in a systematicmanner, focusing on his particular type of machine, regarding the releva

34、nt essential safety requirements,and to suggest possible state-of-the-art safety solutions.The extent to which hazards are covered is indicated in the scope of this part of ISO 10472. In addition,machinery should comply as appropriate with ISO/TR 12100-1 and ISO/TR 12100-2 for hazards which are nots

35、pecifically referred to in this part of ISO 10472.All examples given in this part of ISO 10472 represent the state of the art. Equivalent solutions areacceptable, provided they attain at least the same safety level.The designer is presumed to have taken into account all the provisions of ISO 10472-1

36、 before consideringthis part of ISO 10472.4DIN EN ISO 10472-2:2009-10 EN ISO 10472-2:2008 (E) 1 ScopeThis part of ISO 10472 covers, together with ISO 10472-1, most significant hazards associated with washingmachines and washer-extractors of all configurations having a net usable cage volume 60 l.Thi

37、s part of ISO 10472 does not cover particular hazards for drawer-type washer-extractors.This part of ISO 10472 does not cover the hazards caused by processing work which may create anexplosive or flammable atmosphere inside the machine.This part of ISO 10472 complements the basic requirements as lai

38、d down in ISO/TR 12100-1 andISO/TR 12100-2. It also gives guidance to the designer on assessing the risks associated with the hazards(see EN 1050) and on selecting measures for attaining the required safety level.This part of ISO 10472 does not apply to ancillary equipment, e.g. chemical supply pump
