This standard has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 72 “Textile machinery and machinery for dry-cleaning and industrial laundering” in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 214 “Textile machinery and accessories” (Secretariat: SNV,

5、 Switzerland). The responsible German body involved in its preparation was the Normenausschuss Maschinenbau (Mechanical Engineering Standards Committee), Technical Committee NA 060-26-12 AA Wscherei-maschinen of Section Wscherei- und Chemischreinigungsmaschinen. Representatives of manufacturers and

6、users of textile machinery, industrial laundry and dry-cleaning machinery, of the employers liability insurance association Textil und Bekleidung and of the Working Group Wscherei contributed to this standard. Amendment of the European Machinery Directive has made it necessary to review the previous

7、ly valid standard, EN ISO 10472-1:1997, in terms of the essential requirements of the new European Machinery Directive, 2006/42/EC. This standard contains specifications meeting the essential requirements set out in Annex I of the “Machinery Directive”, Directive 98/37/EC, (valid until 28 December 2

8、009) and the “revised Machinery Directive”, Directive 2006/42/EC, which takes effect on 29 December 2009, and which apply to textile machinery, industrial laundry and dry-cleaning machinery that are either first placed on the market or commissioned within the EEA. This standard serves to facilitate

9、proof of compliance with the essential requirements of the directives. Once this standard is cited in the Official Journal of the European Union, it is deemed a “harmonized” standard and thus, a manufacturer applying this standard may assume compliance with the requirements of the Machinery Directiv

10、e (“presumption of conformity”). 34、n prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 72 “Textile machinery and machinery for dry-cleaning and industrial laundering” of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been taken over as EN ISO 10472-1:2008 by Technical Committee CEN/TC 214 “Textile machinery and accessories” th

40、 is intended to instruct the designer of industrial laundry machinery in a systematic manner,focusing on his particular type of machine, regarding the relevant essential safety requirements, and tosuggest possible state-of-the-art safety solutions.The extent to which hazards are covered is indicated

41、 in the scope of this part of ISO 10472. Themanufacturers attention is drawn to the fact that machinery should comply as appropriate withISO/TR 12100-1 and ISO/TR 12100-2 for hazards which are not specifically referred to in this part ofISO 10472.All examples given in ISO 10472 represent the state o

42、f the art. Equivalent solutions are acceptable, providedthey attain at least the same safety level.DIN EN ISO 10472-1:2009-10 4EN ISO 10472-1:2008 (E) 1 ScopeThe individual parts of ISO 10472 identify all significant hazards associated with laundry machinerydesigned for use in industrial laundry pre

43、mises, which includes hotels, hospitals, nursing homes, prisonsand similar premises, as well as machines designed for use in self-service establishments subject to theminimum capacities stated in the separate parts of ISO 10472. Dry-cleaning presses and garment pressesare also included.Certain speci

44、alized finishing machines used for shaped items are excluded.Household and similar electrical appliances (see IEC 335) are not covered by ISO 10472.The individual parts of ISO 10472 complement the basic requirements laid down in ISO/TR 12100-1 andISO/TR 12100-2. They give guidance to the designer on

45、 assessing the risks associated with the hazards (seeEN 1050) and on selecting measures to attain the required safety level. “Use of machinery“ comprises bothintended use and reasonably foreseeable misuse.The individual parts of ISO 10472 do not give specific technical advice about: the phases of li

46、fe of the machine other than use; noise; laser; maintenance operations and elimination of process faults; ergonomics; explosions; isolation of energy sources; pressure vessels; hot surfaces necessarily exposed for production purposes but see ISO 10472-6 (press head surface).The individual parts of I

47、SO 10472 do not cover electromagnetic compatibility.Hazards due to the use of gas within a machine which is not included in the range described in 5.5.2 of thispart of ISO 10472 are not covered by the individual parts of ISO 10472.Examples of layouts of a large- and a medium-size plant which show th
