This standard has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 146 “Packaging machines Safety” (Secretariat: UNI, Italy). The

5、responsible German body involved in its preparation was the Normenausschuss Maschinenbau (Mechanical Engineering Standards Committee), Section Verpackungsmaschinen. Amendment of the European Machinery Directive has made it necessary to review the previously valid standard, EN 415-5:2006, in terms of

6、 the essential requirements of the new European Machinery Directive, 2006/42/EC. This standard contains specifications meeting the essential requirements set out in Annex I of the “Machinery Directive”, Directive 98/37/EC, (valid until 28 December 2009) and the “revised Machinery Directive”, Directi

7、ve 2006/42/EC, which takes effect on 29 December 2009, and which apply to wrapping machines that are either first placed on the market or commissioned within the EEA. This standard serves to facilitate proof of compliance with the essential requirements of the directives. Once this standard is cited

8、 in the Official Journal of the European Union, it is deemed a “harmonized” standard and thus, a manufacturer applying this standard may assume compliance with the requirements of the Machinery Directive (“presumption of conformity”). The International and European Standards and Technical Specificat

9、ions referred to in clause 2 and in the bibliography of this document have been published as the corresponding DIN EN, DIN EN ISO or DIN CLC/TS Standards with the same number. As for the remaining standards or specifications referred to, there are no national standards available. Amendments This sta
