The responsible German body involved in its preparation was the Normenausschuss Heiz- und Raumlufttechnik (Heating
4、 and Ventilation Technology Standards Committee), Technical Committee NA 041-02-51 AA Lftung von Wohnungen. The German national mirror committees voted against the publication of this standard. However, because all other CEN Members voted for the publication of the final draft in the final voting st
5、age, the standard was accepted as an EN. Germany is therefore obliged to adopt this European Standard. The present standard is addressed to the relevant national committees who are responsible for developing standards and guidelines for the design of residential ventilation systems. It is not addres
6、sed to commercial organizations who are involved in the design, construction and operation of residential ventilation systems. In Germany the design of residential ventilation systems is governed by DIN 1946-6 and DIN 18017-3. The requirements of DIN EN 15665 will be taken into consideration in futu
7、re revisions of these standards. This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by September 2009, and conflicting na
20、tional standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by September 2009. Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights. DIN EN 15665:2009-07 EN 15665:2009 (E) 4 Introduction Nowadays most ventilation requirements either in regulations or in standards are based on required airflow
23、 rates. Also, there is relatively limited knowledge about the basis for ventilation flow rates. Airflow rates are however probably the easiest way to express ventilation requirements. Nevertheless it is worthwhile to consider in a more detailed way the influence of the dilution due to air change on
24、human exposure, in order to understand the ventilation requirements expressed in terms of flow rates. Figure 1 explains the process from pollutant to health risk. This European Standard does not deal with health effects, health risks (linked to noise, tobacco), dose and energy impact. This European
