National foreword This standard includes safety requirements. This standard has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 147 “Cranes Safety” (Secreta

5、riat: BSI, United Kingdom), Working Group WG 14 “Bridge and gantry cranes”. The responsible German body involved in its preparation was the Normenausschuss Maschinenbau (Mechanical Engineering Standards Committee), Coordinating Committee CEN/TC 147-ISO/TC 96 Krane. Amendment of the European Machiner

6、y Directive has made it necessary to review the previously valid standard, EN 15056:2006, in terms of the essential requirements of the new European Machinery Directive, 2006/42/EC. This standard contains specifications meeting the essential requirements set out in Annex I of the “Machinery Directiv

7、e”, Directive 98/37/EC, (valid until 28 December 2009) and the “revised Machinery Directive”, Directive 2006/42/EC, which takes effect on 29 December 2009, and which apply to container handling spreaders that are either first placed on the market or commissioned within the EEA. This standard serves

8、to facilitate proof of compliance with the essential requirements of the directives. Once this standard is cited in the Official Journal of the European Union, it is deemed a “harmonized” standard and thus, a manufacturer applying this standard may assume compliance with the requirements of the Mach

9、inery Directive (“presumption of conformity”). It should be noted that the term “crane” as in this standard includes all machines for cyclic lifting, or cyclic lifting and handling, of loads suspended on hooks or other load lifting attachments. This means that this standard applies to all other equi

10、pment, such as winches, which meets this definition. The International and European Standards referred to in this document have been published as the corresponding DIN EN, DIN EN ISO, DIN CEN/TS or DIN ISO Standards with the same number. Amendments This standard differs from DIN EN 15056:2006-12 as

The machinery concerned and the extent to which hazards, hazardous situations and hazardous events are covered are indicated in the scope of this standard. When provisions of this type C s

31、tandard are different from those which are stated in type A or B standards, the provisions of this type C standard take precedence over the provisions of the other standards, for machines that have been designed and built according to the provisions of this type C standard. 32、5056:2006+A1:2009 (E) 6 1 Scope This European Standard specifies safety requirements for spreaders used with cranes designed for the purpose of handling ISO containers based on ISO 668 including other lengths such as 45 ft. The connection between the spreader and the container is by the use of twist

33、locks that engage into the containers upper corner castings. The standard deals with all significant hazards, hazardous situations and events relevant to container handling spreaders, when used as intended and under conditions foreseen by the manufacturer (see Clause 4). The spreader is interfaced t

34、o the cranes control and safety system. This European Standard does not cover the following types of spreaders: hand operated spreaders (without external power supply); bottom lift grapple spreaders used for swapbodies and road trailers. This European Standard does not deal with the lifting of perso

35、ns.
