The responsible German body involved in its preparation was the Normenausschuss Bergbau (Mining Standards Committee), Technical Committee

5、NA 008-05-05 AA Einzelteile fr Frderer. Representatives of manufacturers and users of equipment and components, and of the responsible authorities contributed to this standard. Amendment of the European Machinery Directive has made it necessary to review the previously valid standard, EN 12321:2003,

6、 in terms of the essential requirements of the new European Machinery Directive, 2006/42/EC. This standard contains specifications meeting the essential requirements set out in Annex I of the “Machinery Directive”, Directive 98/37/EC, (valid until 28 December 2009) and the “revised Machinery Directi

7、ve”, Directive 2006/42/EC, which takes effect on 29 December 2009, and which apply to machines that are either first placed on the market or commissioned within the EEA. This standard serves to facilitate proof of compliance with the essential requirements of the directives. Once this standard is ci

8、ted in the Official Journal of the European Union, it is deemed a “harmonized” standard and thus, a manufacturer applying this standard may assume compliance with the requirements of the Machinery Directive (“presumption of conformity”). Amendments This standard differs from DIN EN 12321:2003-08 as

9、follows: a) The foreword makes reference to the newly added Annex ZB. b) In clause 7.2 “Marking”, the information relating to the manufacturer has been rendered more precise. c) In clause 7.2 “Marking”, the designation of the machinery has been added. d) Hazards due to noise are excluded from this s

10、tandard. e) Annex ZB (informative) “Relationship between this European Standard and the Essential Requirements of EU Directive 2006/42/EC” has been added. The extent to which hazards are covered is indicated in the scope of this standard. When compiling this standard it has been assumed that: components are: designed in accordance w

26、ith good engineering practice, taking account of expected shocks and vibrations and calculation codes, including all failure modes; of sound mechanical and electrical construction; made of materials with adequate strength and of suitable quality; and free of defects. harmful materials, such as asbes

27、tos are not used; components are kept in good repair and working order, so that the required dimensions remain fulfilled despite wear; negotiations have taken place between the manufacturer or authorised representative, purchaser and/or user (e.g. for fire resistant fluids, safety equipment and load

DIN EN 12321:2009-07 EN 12321:2003+A1:2009 (E) 5 1 Scope 1.1 This European Standard specifies the safety requirements for armoured face conveyors and covers, conveyor drive units, return units, line pans, chain assemblies, devices for tensioning and locking chains. This Europe

29、an Standard does not apply to stage loader ancillaries, armoured face conveyors which form part of mineral bunker systems or operate as spillage conveyors, to haulage systems and guides utilised by extraction machines, to the technical requirements for cable-less remote controls, to compressed air p

30、owered machines, or to the interfaces between the elements of the conveyor and other machine installations. Armoured face conveyors are designed for the transport of minerals and rock only. NOTE Armoured face conveyors can be used as a base for guiding the extraction machine and as a link between th

31、e face roof support and the extraction machine if required. This European Standard deals with all hazards, hazardous situations and events for the use in mines, when they are used as intended and for the conditions foreseen by the manufacturer. See clause 4 for the hazards dealt with. 1.2 This Europ

32、ean Standard does not cover any hazards resulting from the electrical equipment associated with the machine. It does not contain any requirements relating to dust suppression or firedamp hazards. Hazards due to noise are also excluded from this European Standard, but a separate European Standard is

33、in preparation where hazards due to noise will be addressed. It is intended for manufacturers producing and marketing complete machines, and for manufacturers assembling new parts from different origins or assembling new machines even for their own use. These are called “manufacturers” in this Europ
