5、dard has been prepared by Joint Committee GA 8 of the Normenausschuss Chemischer Apparatebau (FNCA) (Process Engineering Standards Committee). The DIN 6647 series of standards Means of packaging Cylindrical beverage containers comprises the following parts: Part 1: Allowable operating pressure up to
6、 3 bar, nominal volume up to 50 litres Part 2: Allowable operating pressure up to 7 bar, nominal volume up to 50 litres Part 3: Allowable operating pressure up to 3 bar, nominal volume greater than 100 litres Part 4: Disposable pack with allowable operating pressure up to 3 bar, nominal volume up to
7、 60 litres Introduction The following applies to beverage*) containers in accordance with this standard (hereinafter called “containers”): Containers in which a positive operating pressure (hereinafter referred to as “maximum allowable pressure”) can occur are normally subject to the provisions of t
8、he EU Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC (PED) and are therefore required to meet the essential safety requirements stipulated in Annex I of that directive. Beverage containers, however, are not subject to the provisions of the directive if a) the maximum allowable operating pressure (PS) is 0,5
9、bar or less; b) the product of pressure and volume (PS V) is 500 bar l or less and the allowable operating pressure is not greater than 7 bar (cf. article 1, paragraphs 1 and 3.18 of the Pressure Equipment Directive). Containers subject to article 3 (3) of the Pressure Equipment Directive shall be d
10、esigned in accordance with the state of the art or comply with good engineering practice in a member state, as described in this standard (see Figure 1). *) Translators note: Also includes syrup. This standard specifies technical and

23、d into the liner (filling bag). 4 General requirements Beverage containers shall safely withstand all physical and chemical stresses as may be expected to occur in the foreseen mode of operation, during which they shall remain tight and retain their performance (functionability). They shall be prope
24、rly manufactured, be ready for use and, where necessary, shall be provided with equipment which satisfies the requirements for safe operation.
