The DIN 6647 series of standards Means of packaging Cylindrical beverage containers comprises the following parts: Part 1: Allowable operating pressure up to

6、 3 bar, nominal volume up to 50 litres Part 2: Allowable operating pressure up to 7 bar, nominal volume up to 50 litres Part 3: Allowable operating pressure up to 3 bar, nominal volume greater than 100 litres Part 4: Disposable pack with allowable operating pressure up to 3 bar, nominal volume up to

7、 60 litres Introduction The following applies to beverage*) containers in accordance with this standard (hereinafter called “containers”): Containers in which a positive operating pressure (hereinafter referred to as “maximum allowable pressure”) can occur are normally subject to the provisions of t

8、he EU Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC (PED) and are therefore required to meet the essential safety requirements stipulated in Annex I of that directive. Beverage containers, however, are not subject to the provisions of the directive if a) the maximum allowable operating pressure (PS) is 0,5

9、bar or less; b) the product of pressure and volume (PS V) is 500 bar l or less and the allowable operating pressure is not greater than 7 bar (cf. article 1, paragraphs 1 and 3.18 of the Pressure Equipment Directive). Containers subject to article 3 (3) of the Pressure Equipment Directive shall be d

This standard specifies technical and

21、 definitions For the purposes of this standard, the terms and definitions in DIN 6647-1 and the following apply. 3.1 container stationary, non-stationary (e.g. containers, truck-mounted tanks) or mobile container (e.g. vehicle tank, tank truck), made of metal, plastics or fibre-reinforced plastics,

23、d into the liner (filling bag). 4 General requirements Beverage containers shall safely withstand all physical and chemical stresses as may be expected to occur in the foreseen mode of operation, during which they shall remain tight and retain their performance (functionability). They shall be prope

24、rly manufactured, be ready for use and, where necessary, shall be provided with equipment which satisfies the requirements for safe operation. Containers in which an operating pressure above atmospheric pressure may occur shall be designed to accommodate the allowable operating pressure in the inten

25、ded mode of operation. Containers shall be manufactured of materials which conform to the requirements specified in DIN 6650-2 and which: have the required properties when forming a part of the finished component, are not attacked by the contents in a way which might damage them, DIN 6647-3:2003-08

26、7 do not release (by migration) into the fluid contained therein any dangerous compounds or substances likely to affect the contents or form dangerous compounds, are easy to clean and to disinfect. Transport containers, their connections to the vehicle, their control devices and their structure shal

27、l be designed so as to withstand the static and dynamic loads occurring during transport under the intended conditions. The requirements specified in DIN 10502-2 shall be complied with as appropriate. 5 Technical requirements 5.1 Design and surface finishes The design and the fabrication of metal co

28、ntainers shall be in accordance with DIN EN 13445-3 and DIN EN 13445-4. For transport containers, the requirements specified in DIN 10502-1 and DIN 10502-2 shall apply. For stainless steel containers as in Annex A of DIN 6650-2:2002-04, the following requirements shall apply: the torospherical dishe

29、d ends shall conform to DIN 28011; container walls and other sheet material shall comply with DIN EN 10088-2; the tubing material shall be as specified in DIN 11850 or DIN 11866; pipe joints and fittings shall be as specified in DIN 11851 or DIN 11864-1. The surface roughness Raof the inner surfaces

30、 of containers shall not exceed 0,8 m after the final treatment. On and near welds Rashall not exceed 1,6 m. Materials used shall be free from scratches, dents, ferritic inclusions and impurities. For plastic containers, the requirements specified in DIN EN 13121-2 shall apply. 5.2 Safety equipment

31、Containers shall be equipped with the required safety equipment according to DIN 6650-3. Safety valves on the container shall be freely accessible, it shall be impossible to block or deactivate them and they shall be fitted in such a manner that they cannot be rendered ineffective by the fluid. A co

32、nnector for the pressure gauge shall be provided. Safety valves shall be of adequate size to be capable of discharging the gas from the container into an external upstream pressure regulator, even in the case of a defect (see Figure 4). NOTE A valve with an adjustable discharge pressure up to the ma

33、ximum allowable operating pressure can be installed in order that the back pressure can be set to the desired value when filling the container. Figure 4 Safety valve DIN 6647-3:2003-08 8 The container should be equipped with a vacuum valve. The pressure gauge shall be installed on or near to the con

34、tainer, where it cannot be blocked and is easily accessible, so that it can be monitored and checked from the operators side. The containers shall be provided with a non-return valve as in DIN 6650-3; this valve shall be easily accessible and be visible from the operators side. 5.3 Insulation Contai

35、ners should be insulated using a suitable material, preferably polyurethane foam with a density of 40 kg/m2 and produced with an environmentally friendly blowing agent. Any insulation of the container shall be designed so that the internal temperature does not change by more than T = 20 K at a rate

36、of 1 K/24 h when the container is full of liquid. The cooling system of the container shall be designed so that the beverage in the container (with or without an internal liner) can be kept at a temperature of between + 4 C to + 6 C. 5.4 Containers without internal liners Containers without internal

37、 liners shall be designed and manufactured without hollows and crevices (see also DIN EN 1672-2). Any welds shall be dressed by grinding as specified in 5.1. Such containers shall not be used with push-in taps designed for internal liners. Seals in contact with the beverage shall be suitable for the

38、 particular application (beverage and cleaning agent) at normal temperatures. The suitability shall be verified by a declaration in accordance with the Lebensmittel- und Bedarfsgegenstndegesetz (LMBG) (German law on foodstuffs and commodity items) and the supplementary provisions of the Bundesinstit

39、ut fr Risikobewertung (Federal Institute for Risk Assessment). 5.5 Containers with internal liners Containers designed for use with internal liners shall have no sharp edges or pointed parts likely to damage the internal liner. NOTE The requirements for containers with internal liners may differ fro

40、m those specified for containers in 5.4. Therefore containers designed for use with internal liners shall only be used together with an internal liner when storing beverages. Examples of such differences can be: welds are brushed, but not dressed by grinding; sightglasses are not designed to comply

41、with hygiene requirements; manway inspection opening seals are not designed to meet hygiene requirements. The use of internal liners shall not adversely affect the safety of containers. The path of flow of the propellant to the safety valve shall be provided with a baffle plate so as to ensure a fre

42、e flow (see Figure 5). DIN 6647-3:2003-08 9 Figure 5 Flow path with baffle plate 6 Hygiene requirements The inside of containers shall be designed to be easy to clean and disinfect, allowing soil to be easily removed and allowing liquids to drain off completely (cf. DIN 6650-4). The inner surface of

43、 containers shall be designed in such a way that the contents are not impaired by the container; see also the requirements in clause 4. A seal suitable for complying with hygiene requirements shall be used for connecting push-in taps to the internal liner, an example is given in Figure 6. Figure 6 P

44、ush-in tap with outlet tube The fitting for connecting the dispensing system to the internal liner shall include a valve suitable for complying with hygiene requirements, this preferably being a disk valve (e.g. of size DN 25, DN 32 or DN 40) as specified in DIN 11850. The suitability of internal li

45、ners shall be verified in accordance with the Lebensmittel- und Bedarfsgegen-stndegesetz and any relevant supplementary regulations (e.g. of the Bundesinstitut fr Risikobewertung). Containers and fitted components shall be designed so that their external surfaces are easy to clean. In the case of in

46、sulated containers, the insulation shall not be adversely affected by any subsequent cleaning (vapour diffusion barrier). 7 Testing Testing shall verify that the requirements in accordance with this standard and the requirements of the relevant technical rules covering the manufacture and marketing

47、of pressure vessels (TRSK 603 to 606 and TRB 511 to 514) have been met. A preliminary check of the documentation is to be carried out by request of the manufacturer. Testing shall be carried out in accordance with TRSK 603 to 605. DIN 6647-3:2003-08 10 8 Marking Containers shall be clearly and perma

48、nently marked on the operators side, with the following information: a) name of manufacturer or manufacturers mark; b) year of fabrication; c) manufacturers number (serial number given to the container by the manufacturer); d) allowable operating pressure; e) nominal volume of container; f) type ide

49、ntification, if necessary; g) test mark; h) material and type of any inner or outer protective coating; i) type of product that may be stored in the container; j) information in accordance with article 10 (1) and (2) of the Bedarfsgegenstndeverordnung fr Behlter aus Kunststoff. The requirements specified in the Pressure Equipment Directive shall also apply. 9 Documentation The following documents shall be supplied with the container or kept with the container doc
