2、document has been produced as a Technical Specification as itdescribes a new method of measuring the dynamic properties of sportssurfaces. Whilst the procedure has been used for several years on long pilesynthetic turf sports surfaces, there is little experience of using it on lowshock absorbing and
3、 deforming surfaces. Additionally, the current calculation of energy restitution and its relevance is currently being furtherresearched.The UK technical committee advises that users of this TechnicalSpecification should be aware of the following:The test results recorded on systems below 25% shock a
4、bsorption should be used as indicative and not definitive.The test results recorded on systems below 4 mm deformation should be used as indicative and not definitive.Energy restitution calculation may differ in the future when current research is completed.The UK participation in its preparation was

The period of validity of this CEN/TS is lim
10、ited initially to three years. After two years the members of CEN will be requested to submit their comments, particularly on the question whether the CEN/TS can be converted into a European Standard. CEN members are required to announce the existence of this CEN/TS in the same way as for an EN and
11、to make the CEN/TS available promptly at national level in an appropriate form. It is permissible to keep conflicting national standards in force (in parallel to the CEN/TS) until the final decision about the possible conversion of the CEN/TS into an EN is reached.
