Itisprimarilyintendedforcheckingthecompositionduringtheproductionofcoatingmaterialsandasan acceptancecheckforthecoatingmaterialuser.Difficultiesmaybeencounteredwh

22、enthemethodisappliedto coatingmaterialscontainingdyestuffs,carbonblack,veryfinelydividedsilicondioxideorveryfinelydivided titaniumdioxide.Itmaynotbesuitableforemulsionpaints. 28、surethatthepigmentseparatesfromthe binderandarelativecentrifugalaccelerationofabout250000(equivalentto25000g).Itshallbefittedwith balancedswivellingbucketswhichcanaccommodatesuitabletubesofe.g.50mlcapacity. 5.2 Centrifugetubes,withacapacityofe.g.50ml.Thesemaybemadeofstainlesssteel,thick-walledglass,

29、 PTFEorothersuitableinertmaterial. 5.3 Polished-ballstirrer,consistingofashaftoflengthabout150mmanddiameterabout5mmhaving,onone end,aballofdiameterabout12mm.Thestirrershallbemadeofasuitablematerialsuchasstainlesssteelor glass. 5.4 Dryingoven,withforcedventilation,capableofbeingmaintainedat(125 2)C.T

Difficultiesmaybeencounteredwithcoatingmaterialscontainingdyestuffs,carbonblack,veryfinelydividedsilicondioxideor veryfinelydividedtitaniumdio
