35、eafter,andparticularlyaliquidtosolidratio of2l/kgdrymatterinafirststepandsubsequentlyof8l/kgdrymatterinasecondstep.Itappliestowastewhich hasaparticlesizebelow4mmwithoutorwithsizereduction(asspecifiedin4.3.2) ThisEuropeanStandardhasbeendevelopedtoinvestigatemainlyinorganicconstituentsfromwastes.Itdoe

36、snot takeintoaccounttheparticularcharacteristicsofnonpolarorganicconstituentsnortheconsequencesof microbiologicalprocessesinorganicdegradablewastes. ThetestprocedurespecifiedinthisEuropeanStandardproduceseluateswhichshallsubsequentlybe characterisedphysicallyandchemicallyaccordingtoappropriatestanda

Thisprocedureisonlyapplicabletowastematerialandsludgeshavingahighsolidcontent:thedrymattercontent ratioshallbeatleasthigherthan33%.Inaddition,thenecessaryquantityofeluateineachstepshallbeobtained toperformthephysicalandchemicalcharacterisationoftheeluate.Furthermore,theminimumdrymattercon
