16、tilesandgeotextilerelatedproductstosoilmoisture. Incertainpolymersmoistureleadstohydrolysisthroughoutthethicknessofthefibre (internalhydrolysis)buttherateofdegradationissuchthatovershortperiodsitisonly measurableatelevatedtemperatures,e.g.byimmersioninhotwater. NOTEThisstandardshouldbeusedwithrefere

17、ncetoCRISO13434. 1 Scope ThisEuropeanStandardspecifiesascreeningtestmethodfordeterminingtheresistanceof geotextilesandgeotextilerelatedproductstohydrolysisbyexposingtestspecimensto wateratelevatedtemperatures,followedbyanevaluationofthechangesinproperties resultingfromsuchexposure.Itisintendedasamea

18、nsofestablishingaminimum acceptablelevelofdurability. Thetestisapplicabletoanygeotextileandgeotextilerelatedproductsusceptibleto hydrolysis,inparticularpolyesterandpolyamidebasedmaterials,andinadditiontothe yarnsfromwhichthesegeotextilesaremade.Reinforcingmaterialsshallbetestedwithout thecoatingandm

19、anufacturersshallensurethatthedegradationofthecoatingwillnot attackorhaveanynegativeinfluenceonthedegradationoftheyarns. Thismethodisnotintendedfordeterminingtheresistanceofgeotextilestohydrolysisunder highlyacidoralkalineconditions. NOTEPerformanceteststopredictlongtermlifetimeortocompareproductsof

27、ocomposite)shouldbetestedindividually.EN12447:2001(E) 5 NOTEAllowanceismadeforshrinkagebyimmersingthecontrolspecimensfor1honly(seeclause 9).ShrinkageattesttemperatureinboilingwatermaybeevaluatedaccordingtoISO5077forwoven geotextiles,gridsandnonwovensorthesameprocedureappliedtoyarnsandmonofilaments.T

28、he deformationduetoshrinkageisnotexpectedtoexceed5%. 7.2 Numberofspecimens Prepareenoughspecimenstoprovideaminimumoffivetestspecimensandfivecontrol specimens. NOTEItisrecommendedtoexposeadditionalspecimensincaseanextramechanicaltestis required(seeclause9). 8 Procedure Deionisedwaterasspecifiedinclau

29、se4shallalwaysbeusedinthetests. NOTEThequalityofthewaterusedashydrolysingagentinthistestisimportantforthe reproducibilityofthetestresults. Exposethetestspecimens,freeofsignificantload,onbothsidestothetestmedium. Thetesttemperatureshallbe(95 1)C. Testyarnsasstrandsorwindthemlooselyonaglasstube(see6.3

30、).Donotoverwind,and separatetheyarnsbyatleastonediameter.Windthecontrolspecimensinthesameway. Theratiobetweenthemassofwaterandthemassofthetestspecimensshallbeatleast 30:1.Coverthespecimenscompletelywithwater.Donottreatmaterialsdifferingin chemicalcompositioninthesameenclosure. ItisessentialthatpHism

31、onitoredatleastonceaweek.IfthepHexceeds8,measuredat roomtemperature,thewatershouldbereplaced. Thetestdurationis28days. Thecontrolspecimensshallbeexposedtothesameenvironmentforonehourandthen removedandstored. 9 Determinationofchangesinproperties Thetestandcontrolspecimensshallbeconditionedforatleast1
