24、encarriedoutsuccessfullyoncompletedeviceswherespecifiedintheappropriate standard.Ifforanyreasonacompletedeviceisnottestedthensimulationofthedeviceispermittedprovided therespiratorycharacteristicsandmassdistributionaresimilartothoseofthecompletedevice.EN403:2004(E) 6 1Scope ThisEuropeanStandardrefers

25、tofilteringdeviceswithahoodforpersonalescapefromparticulatematter, carbonmonoxideandothertoxicgasesproducedbyfire.Itspecifiesminimumrequirementsforthisdevice whichisforsingleuse.Itdoesnotcoverdevicesdesignedforuseincircumstanceswherethereisormightbe anoxygendeficiency(oxygenlessthan17%byvolume). Two

26、typesofdevicesarespecified;namely,thosedesignedtobecarriedonthepersonandthosedesignedto bestored. Thisstandardspecifiesdevicesprimarilydesignedforadultusers.Somedevicesmaynotbesuitablefor children. Acompletedeviceconsistsofafacepiecewithcombinedfilterand,ifnecessary,suitablepackagi

33、ng.Itisnot intendedthatanydisassemblyorassemblybecarriedoutbytheuser. Thefacepieceofafilteringsmokehoodcanbethehooditselforafullfacemask,halfmask,quartermaskor mouthpieceassemblyconnectedtothehood.Thecombinedfilterisattachedtothefacepieceandisnot replaceablewithouttools. 5Classification Devicesdesig

34、nedtobecarriedonthepersonareclassifiedasMandthoseforstorageS. 6Requirements 6.1General Inalltestsalltestsamplesshallmeettherequirements. 6.2Ergonomics Therequirementsofthisstandardareintendedtotakeaccountoftheinteractionbetweenthewearer,the respiratoryprotectivedevice,andwherepossibletheworkingenvir

35、onmentinwhichtherespiratoryprotective deviceislikelytobeused.SeeannexZA. 6.3Design Theapparatusshallbesufficientlyrobusttowithstandtheroughusageitislikelytoreceiveinservicewith respecttoitsclassification. Theapparatusshallbedesignedsothattherearenoprotrudingpartsorsharpedgeslikelytobecaughton projec

36、tionsinnarrowpassages. Nopartoftheapparatuslikelytobeincontactwiththewearershallhavesharpedgesorburrs. Theapparatusshallbedesignedtoensureitsfullfunctioninanyorientation. Testingshallbedoneinaccordancewith7.3and7.5. 6.4Materials Materialswhichcomeintodirectcontactwiththewearersskinshallnotbeknowntob
