20、 standard specifies a method for measuring the duration of discontinuity across a pair of mated contacts. It shall be used together with EN2591. 2 Normative references This European Standard incorporates by dated or undated reference provisions from other publications. These normative references are

21、 cited at the appropriate places in the text and the publications are listed hereafter. For dated references, subsequent amendments to or revisions of any of these publications apply to this European Standard only when incorporated in it by amendment or revision. EN 2591, Aerospace series Elements of electrical and optical connection Test methods General. 3 Preparation of specimens 3.1 They shall be fitted with their contacts wired in accordance with the technical specification and mated. 3.2 Unless indicated in

23、the technical specification, the following details shall be specified: maximum duration of discontinuity; method to be used (A or B); test duration; mechanical stresses; climatic stresses. 4 Apparatus Tests shall be carried out with an appropriate apparatus or measuring device (seeFigure 1 and Figur

24、e 2). 5 Method A d.c. current from10mA to100mA shall flow across every contact. The current shall be applied during the whole test and discontinuities, if any, shall be recorded. 5.1 Number of contacts to be measured per size SeeTable 1.
