It is identical with CENELEC Electronic Components Committee (CECC)41200 “Harmonized system of quality assessment for electronic components: Sectional specification: Power potentiometers”. This standard is a harmonized specification within the CECC system. Terminology

8、 and conventions. The text of the CECC specification has been approved as suitable for publication, without deviation, as a British Standard. Some terminology and certain conventions are not identical with those used in British Standards; attention is especially drawn to the following. The comma has

9、 been used throughout as a decimal marker. In British Standards it is current practice to use a full point on the baseline as the decimal marker. Cross-references. 24、ponents of assessed quality. The object of the System is to facilitate international trade by the harmonization of the specifications and quality assessment procedures for electronic components, and by the grant of an internationally recognized Mark, or Certificate, of Conformity. The components pro

25、duced under the System are thereby accepted by all member countries without further testing. This document has been formally approved by the CECC, and has been prepared for those member countries taking part in the System who wish to issue national harmonized specifications for POWER POTENTIOMETERS.

Scope This sectional specification prescribes the preferred values for characteristics and ratings and also the inspection requirements for pow

30、er potentiometers of assessed quality. Such potentiometers normally have a rated dissipation exceeding10W. It selects from the generic specification, CECC41000, the appropriate methods of test to be used in detail specifications derived from this document. Associated with this document are one or mo

31、re blank detail specifications each referenced by a CECC number. A blank detail specification which has been completed as specified in2.5 of this document forms a detail specification. Such detail specifications may be used for the granting of Qualification Approval to a potentiometer and for the pe

32、rformance of Quality Conformance Inspection in accordance with the CECC System. Section 2. Preferred characteristics ratings and severities for environmental tests 2.1 Characteristics The values given in detail specifications shall preferably be selected from the following: 2.1.1 Climatic severities

33、 The potentiometers covered by this document are classified into climatic categories according to the general rules given in the Appendix to IEC68-1. The standard severities for the cold, dry heat and damp heat, steady state tests are within the following ranges: Values selected within these ranges

34、shall be chosen from those listed in the relevant tests of IEC68-2. The severities for the cold and dry heat tests are the lower and upper category temperatures respectively. For some potentiometers, these temperatures will occur between two of the preferred temperatures given in IEC68-2. In this ca

35、se, the nearest preferred temperature within the category temperature range of the potentiometer shall be chosen for this severity. 2.1.2 Temperature characteristics and temperature coefficients of resistance The measurement of temperature characteristic, or temperature coefficient, of resistance is

36、 not considered appropriate to this type of potentiometer. 2.1.3 Limits for change in resistance, or output ratio The preferred combinations of limits for change in resistance or output ratio in each of the tests listed in the heading of the following table are as indicated in the lines of the table

38、s for insulation resistance The preferred limits for insulation resistance shall be1G7 minimum or, after humidity tests, 100M7. 2.1.5 Limits for resistance law The preferred measuring points and associated values of the output ratio for resistance laws are: 2.2 Ratings The values given in detail spe

39、cifications shall preferably be selected from the following: 2.2.1 Rated resistance See2.3.2 of CECC41000. 2.2.2 Tolerance on rated resistance The preferred tolerances on rated resistance are: 10% and 5%. 2.2.3 Rated dissipation The preferred values of rated dissipation at70 C are: 10, 16, 25, 40, 5

40、0, 63, 80, 100, 125, 160, 250, 315, 400, 500, 630, 800 and 1000W. 2.2.4 Limiting element voltage The preferred values of limiting element voltage are: 160, 250, 400, 630, 1000 and 1600V d.c. or a.c. r.m.s. 2.2.5 Isolation voltage 2.2.5.1 Normal air pressure The detail specification shall state the v

41、alue of the isolation voltage, rounded up to the nearest10V. 44、 thirds the isolation voltage. 2.3 Severities for environmental tests Test severities given in detail specifications shall preferably be selected from the following: 2.3.1 Drying Procedure I of 4.2 of CECC41000 shall be used. 2.3.2 Vibration Potentiometers shall be mounted by their normal means, in

45、such a manner that there shall be no parasitic vibration. 2.3.3 Bump Potentiometers shall be mounted by their normal means, in such a manner that there shall be no parasitic vibration. 2.3.4 Shock Potentiometers shall be mounted by their normal means, in such a manner that there shall be no parasiti

46、c vibration. 2.3.5 Low air pressure Test M (IEC 68-2-13) 8,5 kPa (85 mbar) 2.3.6 Change of temperature Test Na or Nb (IEC68-2-14) For rated dissipations equal to or less than100W, Test Na shall be applied, and the duration of exposure at the extremes of temperature shall be30min. For rated dissipati
