The text of the international standard has been approved as suitable for publication as a British Standard without deviat

7、ion. Some terminology and certain conventions are not identical with those used in British Standards; attention is drawn especially to the following. The comma has been used throughout as a decimal marker. In British Standards it is current practice to use a full point on the baseline as the decimal

18、ion This part of IS0 4791 lists the names of items of laboratory ap- paratus, made essentially from glass, porcelain or vitreous silica, together with items of equipment, made from other materials, which are commonly used in association with such apparatus. A vocabulary of technical terms, with thei

19、r definitions and ap- plicable to the manufacture, adjustment and use of such laboratory apparatus, will be issued as Part 2. The purpose of the vocabulary is to provide an aid to translators and readers of scientific literature. Because of the need to translate older documents, certain items of equ

20、ipment now regarded as obsolete have been included. NOTE - In addition to terms used in the three official IS0 languages (English, French and Russian), this part of IS0 4791 gives the equivalent terms in German; these have been included at the request of Technical Committee ISO/TC 48 and are publish

21、ed under the responsi- bility of the member body for the Federal Republic of Germany (DIN). Dieses Vokabular soll bersetzern und Lesern wissenschaftli- cher Literatur als Hilfe dienen. Wegen

30、der Notwendigkeit, auch ltere Dokumente zu bersetzen, enthlt es auch einige Gerte, die heute als veraltet angesehen werden. ANMERKUNG - Zustzlich zu den in den drei offiziellen Sprachen der IS0 (Englisch, Franzsisch und Russischl verwendeten Benennungen enthlt der vorliegende Teil von IS0 4791 die e

33、aratus in detail. In some cases, the drawings show only one example of the several possible items of equipment known by the given name. The drawings are not to a uniform scale and are given to facilitate iden- tification : they should not be regarded as standardized in any way. In some cases inclusi

34、on of a drawing has been thought unnecessary. Where an item is known by more than one name, the preferred name is given first followed by the alternative name(s) in parentheses. The vocabulary is arranged in nine main sections each containing ap- paratus for a particular purpose. The sections are di

35、vided into sub- sections containing a particular type of apparatus used for the main purpose. Where a sub-section contains a large number of items (e.g. 3.051, items of equipment used for a particular purpose are grouped together. Items of apparatus having a specific purpose are listed in the sub- s

36、ection dealing with that purpose and not in a more general sub- section. For example, distillation flasks are found in sub-section 3.05 “Distillation“ and not in sub-section 2.04 “Flasks for general purposes“, but a cross-reference to sub-section 3.05 is given against sub-section 2.04 in the list of

37、 sections and sub-sections : the cross- references are intended to help users of the vocabulary to find items in- tended for specific purposes. The vocabulary has a multilingual index of the items of apparatus and of the proper names used to identify some of the items. In order to simplify the vocab

38、ulary, commonly used descriptions, which do not give difficulty in translation, have been omitted from the names of items. Bei Gerten, die unter mehreren Benennungen bekannt sind, ist die gebruchlichste zuerst aufgefhrt, dahinter in Klammern die andereni. Das Vokabular ist nach Gerten fr bestimmte Anwendungs

47、zwecke in 9 Abschitte unterteilt. In Unterabschnitten sind die verschiedenen Gerte fr denselben Hauptzweck aufgefhrt. Falls ein Unterabschnitt sehr viele Gerte enthlt (Z.B. 3.051, sind diese in Gruppen zusamrnen- gefat. Gerte fr bestimmte Zwecke sind dort aufgefhrt und nicht in einem Abschnitt, dem

48、sie allgemein zuzuordnen wren. So finden sich Destil- lationskolben im Abschnitt 3.05 “Destillation“ und nich im Abschnitt 2.04 “Kolben fr allgemeine Zwecke“. Kreuzverweise im Inhaltsver- zeichnis sollen dem Benutzer helfen, die gesuchten Gerte fr be- stimmte Zwecke zu finden. Das Vokabular hat ein mehrsprachiges Inhaltsverzheichnis und fr Ge- rte, die unter Autorennamen bekannt sind, auch ein Eigennamen- Register. Zur Vereinfachung sind allgemein gebruchliche Bezeichnungen, die beim bersetzen keine Schwierigkeiten bieten, weggelassen worden. Beispiele :
