18、apply.3.1 worktoppanel, of a woodbased material, that can be shaped, complete with any surface finish, to be fixed at working height3.2 edgingstrip of material, less than 3 mm thick, applied to the edge of a panel3.3 lippingstrip of material, with a thickness of at least 3 mm, applied to the edge of

19、 a panel4 Types of surface4.1 WorktopsWorktops shall include:a) decorative plastics laminate top surface and separate decorative plastics laminate edging;b) one or more moulded edges covered by a single decorative plastics laminate, that follows the contours of the edge or edges; orNOTE Also known a

The method for communication shall be at the discretion of the manufacturer/supplier:a) the name, trademark or ot

22、her means of identification of the manufacturer, distributor or retailer;b) the number and date of this British Standard (i.e. BS 62223:2017), with a statement that this refers to only the surface finish and adhesion of the surfacing and edging materials (e.g. “the surface finish and adhesion of thi

23、s worktop conform to BS 62223:2017“).NOTE Marking BS 6222-3:2017 on or in relation to a product represents a manufacturers declaration of conformity, i.e. a claim by or on behalf of the manufacturer that the product meets the requirements of the standard. The accuracy of the claim is solely the clai

24、mants responsibility. Such a declaration is not to be confused with third-party certification of conformity.6 Surface finish performance6.1 WorktopsThe worktop surface shall achieve the minimum performance ratings given in column A of Table 1 when tested in accordance with the appropriate methods.6.

44、ging material in position (e.g. a door or drawer front) to an elevated temperature cycle of (84 12) h at (40 2) C, (50 2) C, (60 2) C, and for worktops only (70 2) C.B.2 ApparatusB.2.1 Dry air circulating oven, able to keep any temperature between (40 2) C and (70 2) C to an accuracy of 2 C, with a

45、low relative humidity.B.3 Preparation of test samplesSelect full size panels or, if this is not convenient, cut panels, including at least 300 mm 300 mm of surfacing or 300 mm of edging, from randomly selected areas of the furniture.B.4 ProcedureExpose the samples for (84 12) h at (40 2) C in the dr

46、y air circulating oven (see B.2). After (84 12) h at the test temperature, assess the surfacing and/or edging bonds in accordance with B.5.Continue the test for successive (84 12) h periods at (50 2) C, (60 2) C and for surfacing laminate on worktops only (70 2) C, or until complete delamination occ
