Scope1.1 This specification covers requiremen
3、ts for metric series,tapered roller bearings with a single row of rollers.1.2 Intended UseThe bearings covered in this specifica-tion are intended to be used in general industrial and vehicleapplications where the operating temperature does not exceed120C (250F).1.3 This specification contains many
4、of the requirements ofDS3225, which was originally developed by the Department ofDefense and maintained by the Defense Supply Center inRichmond. Terminology3.1 DefinitionsFor definitions of terms used in this speci-fication refer to ISO 5593.3.1.1 effective load centerdimension (a) lo
8、cates a point onthe inner ring (cone) axis that is the center of pressure of allresisting forces set up by the bearing rollers. All momentsshould be calculated from this point when determining bearingloading and shaft stresses. A minus value of (a) indicates thatthe center is inside the inner ring (
9、cone) backface.3.1.2 K factorthe K Factor is the ratio of the basic radialdynamic load rating to the basic static load rating.3.1.3 contact anglethese bearing have a contact angle (a)between 10 and 19 degrees. The contact angle is the anglebetween the line of action of the roller load and a planeper
10、pendicular to the bearing axis.4.
