Scope1.1 This specification covers PB Exterior Insulation andFinish Systems (EIFS) defined as an exterior, non-bearing wallcovering providing a wea

3、ther-resistant exterior wall envelopeon walls required to be combustible or noncombustible, fire-resistance-rated or nonfire-resistance-rated. Further, PB EIFSis a system described as being applied over insulation board, anadhesive or mechanical attachment of the insulation board to asubstrate, or b

4、oth, glass fiber reinforcing mesh, a base coat onthe face of the insulation board, and a textured protective finishcoat.1.2 specification does not cover Class PB EIFS with drain-age.1.3 This specification qualifies EIFS products for use innormal service conditions and is not for evaluating in servic

The reinforcing mesh is glass fiber mesh thatis encapsulated by the base coat per EIFS manufacturerrecommen

18、dations. Protective finish coats, of various thick-nesses in a variety of textures and colors, are applied over thebase coat.4. Materials and Manufacture4.1 Product DescriptionThe material and specificationsshall be as specified by the selected EIFS manufacturer andshall be defined as in Terminology

19、 E2110except as modifiedherein.5. Performance Requirements5.1 The system and its components shall meet or exceed theperformance standards described in 5.2-5.7 of this specifica-tion.5.2 Performance:5.2.1 System performance shall be in conformance with theminimum properties listed in Table 1.5.3 Comp
