Physical Requirements7.1 UniformityA thoroughly stirred sample shall show noseparation of solvent or settling that cannot be overcome bymoderate stirring after standing for 72 h at ro

14、om temperature ina closed container. (See Test Methods D 6511, Section 5 onUniformity.)7.2 WorkabilityThe cement shall be of a consistency thatwill spread readily and permit troweling smooth coatings, 2 to6mm(116 to14 in.) thick, on prepared roofing, saturated felt,and metal surfaces at ambient temp

15、eratures above 10C (50F).7.3 Behavior at 60C (140F)The cement shall show noevidence of blistering, and sag or slide shall be no greater than6mm(14 in.). (See Test Methods D 6511, Section 12 onBehavior at 60C (140F).)7.4 Pliability at 0C (32F)There shall be no cracking orseparation of the cement from

(See Test MethodsD 6511, Section 13 on Pliability at 0C (32F).)7.5 Adhesion to Damp, Wet, or Underwater SurfacesTheaverage of three test samples shall be greater than 80 %adhesion for compliance with Class II requirements. (See TestMethods D 6511, Section 17 on Adhesion to Damp, Wet, orU

17、nderwater Surfaces.)8. Sampling8.1 Sample the material from the original containers imme-diately after stirring to a uniform consistency in accordancewith Section 4, Sampling, of Test Methods D 6511. Restirsamples to ensure uniformity immediately before withdrawingportions for individual tests.9. Te

18、st Methods9.1 Determine composition and physical requirements byusing the procedures in Test Methods D 6511.10. Precision10.1 See Section 21, Precision and Bias, of Test MethodsD 6511.11. Inspection11.1 Inspection of the material shall be agreed upon by thepurchaser and the seller as part of the pur

19、chase contract.12. Rejection and Resubmittal12.1 Failure to conform to any of the requirements pre-scribed in this specification shall constitute grounds for rejec-tion. In cases of rejection, the seller shall have the right toreinspect and resubmit the lot after removal of those packagesnot conform

20、ing to the specified requirements.13. Packaging and Package Marking13.1 Asphalt roofing cement shall be suitably packaged topermit acceptance by the carrier and to afford adequateprotection from the normal hazards of handling and shipment.13.2 Each container shall be plainly parked with the nameand

21、brand of the manufacturer or supplier, the type of product,the manufacturers production code or lot number, and wordingindicating that the material contains asbestos.13.3 Each container shall be plainly parked to indicate thatthe product was manufactured to meet ASTM D 2822.14.
