The figures were collected by the Plant Security Department which surv

8、eyed the cars arriving in the car park on two Thursdays. Before the program began, about two thirds of the cars (1621) entering the car park were occupied by only one person. In the descending of number, there were 432 cars with two occupants, 121 cars with three occupants, 108 cars with more than 4

9、 occupants and 57 cars with 4 occupants. One week after the program started, the number of cars with one occupant was reduced by more than half, counting for about one third of the cars surveyed. In the meanwhile, numbers of cars with two or more than two occupants increased substantially, since emp

10、loyees who used to drive a car alone joined each other or others who shared cars with colleagues. It should also be noted that the total number of cars reduced from 2339 to 2084. To close, the number of cars parked at the companys parking lots was reduced due to the Share-a-Ride program. More people

11、 chose to share a car with another colleague in consequence.
