17、6.1 The material shall conform to the chemical composi-tional requirements in Table 1 for the copper alloy UNS No.designation specified in the ordering information.6.2 These composition limits do not preclude the presenceof other elements. By agreement between the manufacturer andpurchaser, limits m
18、ay be established and analysis required forunnamed elements.6.3 Either copper or zinc may be taken as the differencebetween the sum of all elements analyzed and 100 %. Formerdesignations and the standard designations as detailed inClassification B 601 are shown.7.3 Annealed (OS)The standard tempers of annealed ma-terial are as designated in Tables 4 and 5. Nominal grain sizeand the st
21、andard designations are detailed in ClassificationB 601 are shown.7.4 Annealed-To-Temper (O)The standard tempers ofannealed-to-temper material are as designated in Table 6 orTable 7 with the prefix “O.” Former designations and thestandard designations as detailed in Classification B 601 areshown.7.5
22、 Special or nonstandard tempers are subject to negotia-tion between the manufacturer and purchaser (see 5.1.5).8. Grain Size8.1 Grain size shall be standard requirement for all productsof the annealed (OS) tempers.8.2 Acceptance or rejection based upon grain size shalldepend only on the average grai
23、n size of the test specimens andshall be within the limits prescribed in Table 4 when deter-mined in accordance with Test Methods E 112.8.3 The average grain size shall be determined on a planeparallel to the surface of the product.9. Mechanical Properties9.1 Tensile Strength Requirements of Rolled
24、Tempers9.1.1 Product furnished under this specification shall con-form to the tensile strength requirements prescribed in Table 2or Table 3 when tested in accordance with Test Methods E8orE8M.
