Delete this section in its entirety and substitute the following: “5 0 PACKAGING 5.1 Packa in . Testing kits shall be packed l

6、evel A or commercial as specified a. 5.1.1 Level A. Each testing kit and each technical manual (TM) shall be individually packaged method I C-3 of MIL-P-116 in a bag formed from material conforming to type I or II class 1, grade C, finish 2 of L-P-278. The inside dimensions of the bag shall be 9 by

7、5 inches for the kit, and 5 by 6-1/2 inches for the TM.“ 5.1.2 Commercial packaging. Testing kits shall be packed in accordance with requirements of FED-STD-356. 5.2 Packing. Testing kits and TMs shall be packed level A, B, or commer- cial, as specified (see 6.2). 5.2.1 Level A. Sixty testing kits a

8、nd sixty TMs packaged as specified in and the TMs 5.1 shall be packed together in a box. The testing kits shall be arranged in two layers of three rows of 10 testing kits; shall be placed flat and evenly distributed on top of the kits. class 2, style 4 of PPP-B-621; class 3, style optional of PPP-B-

9、585 or overseas type style A, B or I grade A of PPP-13-601 at the option of the supplier. wood parts of the box of PPP-E585 shall be preserved and dried as specified for the wood of the PPP-EL box. Each box shall be designed for a type 2 average load, and shall have inside dimensions of 17-1/2 by 13

10、-1/3 by 8 inches. All inside faces of each box shall be completely lined with fiberboard pads conforming to grade W5c or V3c of PPP-F-320; and additional pads of the same material shall be added where needed to assure a tight pack. Each box shall be closed and reinforced as specified in the applicab

Testing kits and an identical number of TMs shall be pack

14、letization. When specified in the contract or order (see 6.2) shipping containers of 5.2 shall be palletized. Level A and B packs shall be palletized on a type IV, size 2 pallet of NN-P-71 in accordance with load type I, pattern No. 4 for level A and pattern No. 7 for level B packs, of MIL-STD- 147.

15、 Commercial packs shall be palletized in accordance with the packing requirements of FED-STD-3 5 6 . 6.2 : Delete “(b) Level of packing required“ and substitute “(b) Level of packaging and packing required“.
