In the event of a c
9、onflict between the text of this document and the references cited herein, the text of this document takes precedence. regulations unless a specific exemption has been obtained. Nothing in this document, however, supersedes applicable laws and 3. REQUIREMENTS * 3.1 First article. When specified (see
10、 6.21, a sample shall be subjected to first article inspection (see 6.3) in accordance with 4.3. 3.2 Standard sample. The dyed tape shall match the standard sample for shade and shall be equal to or better than the standard sample with respect to all characteristics for which the standard sample is
11、referenced (see 6.4). * 3.3 Material. It is encouraged that recycled material be used when practical as long as it meets the requirements of this document. * 3.3.1 - Yarn. The yarn for the warp and filling shall be made from an approved bright, multi-filament,.aramid polyamide (see 6.51, nominal den
12、ier of 200 (22 tex) warp and 2-ply, 200 (22 tex) filling. The yarn shall not char at a temperature less than 675OF. The final ply of the filling yarn shall have a minimum of 2-1/2 turns per inch. Unless otherwise specified (see 6.2), the color of the tape shall be Olive Green 106 or Sage Green 1565 as specified and shall match the standard sample. fiber. 14、ution dyed * 3.4.1 Matching. The color of the finished tape shall match the standard sample when viewed under filtered tungsten lamps that approximate artificial daylight and that have a correlated color temperature of 7500 f 200K, with illumination of 100 5 20 foot candles and shall be a good match
15、 to the standard sample under incandescent lamplight at 2300 2 200K. 3.4.2 Colorfastness. The dyed and finished tape shall show fastness to light and laundering equal to or better than the standard sample. When no standard sample has been established OP designated as applicable to colorfastness, the
16、 dyed and finished tape shall show “fair“ fastness to light and Ifgood“ fastness to laundering when tested as specified in 4.4.3. 3.5 Physical requirements. The finished tape shall conform to the requirements specified in table I when tested as specified. in 4.4.3. TABLE I. Phy sic a 1 req u ir emen

The weave shall be a plain weave, except.that the warp ends shall weave two ends as one. The filling yarn shall
18、 traverse the niil width of the tape with one filling yarn per shed. 3.6 Nonfibrous material. The finished tape shal contain no more than 2.0 percent starch and protein including chloroform-soluble and water-soluble material when tested as specified in 4.4.3. 3.7 Length. Unless otherwise specified (
19、see 6.21, the tape shall be furnished on double headed spools or tubes containing 500 2 10 yards. 20、8 Identification tickets. Each spool or tube shall have an identification ticket attached to it in accordance with MIL-P-43334. 3.9 Fiber identification. Each spool or tube shall be labeled or ticketed for fiber content in accordance with the Rules and Regulations under the Textile Fiber Products Id
21、entification Act. 3.10 Workmanship. The finished tape shall conform to the quality of product established by this specification. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor is responsible for the perf
22、ormance of all inspection requirements (examinations and tests) as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapprove
23、d by the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in this specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to ensure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. * 4.1.1 Responsibility for compliance. All items shall meet all req
24、uirements of sections 3 and 5. The inspection set forth in this specification shall become a part of the contractors overall inspection system or quality program. The absence of any inspection requirements in the specification shall not relieve the contractor of the responsibility of ensuring that a
