28、t, The simulators shall be tested for leakage by submersing them in water (at 70 + 5OF) contained in a vacuum chamber. A vacuum differential of at least 6 inches of mercury shall be drawn and held for 30 seconds while observing for air bubbles, A steady stream or recurring stream from any surface or

29、 seam shall constitute a failure. The cartridges shall be wiped dry prior to functioning, (Non-Destructive Test)“. Add the following paragraphs: “4.5.4.7 Five foot drop test, The simulators shall be tested in accordance with MIL-STD-331, Test 111 -1, Procedure 2, 1.5 Meter Drop test. The simulators

30、shall be dropped at each of the five orientations as required in the procedure after temperature conditioning in accordance with 4.5.4.1 and 4D5.4.2 The simulators shall be functioned in accordance with 4.5.3 following the drop, Observations shall be made for compliance with applicable requirements

31、. (Destructive Test) . “4.5.5 Packaging tests. (First article only). A total of one(1) fully packed wood box containing 60 simulators shall be subjected to tests specified in 4.5.5.1, 4.5.5.2 and 4.5.5-3 at ambient temperature. II “4.5.5.1 Seven foot drop test, The wood box shall be tested in accord

32、ance with ARDEC drawing 8837375 test number 13, with the exception that the box be dropped in only one (1) orientation, bottom down. Observations shall be made for compliance with applicable requirements. a “4 .5.5.2 Transportation vibration, The wood box shall be subjected to secured cargo vibratio
