2、cies of the Department of Defense. 1. SCOPE 1.1 Scope. This specification covers one type of fire retardant casting resin consisting of an epoxy resin and an amine type curing agent. 2. 17、s a specific exemption has been obtained. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 First article sample. Unless otherwise specified (see 6.2), a first article (see 4.2) of the casting resin shall meet the requirements of this specification. 3.2 Materials. The casting resin shall consist of an epoxy resin and an amine-ty
18、pe curing agent capable of being fully cured at a temperature not greater than 71.1 Celsius (C). The specific gravity of the casting resin at 23.9OC shall be 1.45 i 0.15. 3.5.3 Shelf life. The shelf life of the epoxy resin and curing agent in unopened containers shall be
