This handbook is approved for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Depar

3、tment of Defense. 2. This handbook provides non-regulatory guidance for the preparation of technical manuals (TMs) that are required to operate and maintain the various types of equipment and weapon systems within the Department of the Army. This handbook is for guidance only. This handbook cannot b

4、e cited as a requirement. If it is, the contractor does not have to comply. 3. This handbook expands and clarifies the requirements contained in MIL-STD-40051-1, Preparation of Digital Technical Information for Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals, and MIL-STD-40051-2, Preparation of Digital Tec

5、hnical Information for Page-Based Technical Manuals. This Handbook provides recommended writing style, comprehensibility, format, and graphics requirements used by the U. S.
