This specification covers a chemical-biological mask face- blank molded from a 65 percent natural rubber compound. 1.2 Classification. Prior to the start of regular production, 30 (20 trimmed and 10 untrimmed) sample faceblanks from each mold cavity and 16 test slabs shall be produced using the same
16、methods, materials, equipment, and rubber formulation as will be used during regular production. in formulation, operating conditions, or molds shall require a new prepro- duction sample. The faceblank inner and outer surfaces shall be smooth and free from imperfections such as pits, bumps, porous areas, cracks, che
18、cks, flash, abrasions, or blisters. free from holes, bubbles, and foreign matter. on outer surfaces shall not be considered as flash when closely trimmed. Faceblanks with small flaws in noncritical areas may be repaired provided there is no change in the formulation or surface continuity. sealing ar

20、al Rips, tears, or punctures shall be considered as damage. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection. 4.1.1 Suppliers responsibility. Unless otherwise specified in the con- tract or purchase order, the supplier is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirement
21、s as specified herein. Except as othenise spec- ified in the contract or order, the supplier may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements spec- ified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any
22、of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to specified requirements. 4.1.2 Objective evidence. 4.1.2.1 Materials. The supplier shall provide objective evidence accept- able to the contracting officer that the
23、 requirements of 3.1, 3.3.1 and section 5 for which specific inspection has not been provided in this spec- if ic at ion have be en s at i s fi ed . 4.1.2.2 Toxicity. After date of award of contract, and within the time specified in the contract, and without additional cost to the Government, 5 Prov
