The hinge shall be 1/8 inch 1/64 inch hi

13、gh by 1/8 inch 1/64 inch wide by 3/32 inch 1/64 inch deep (see illustration below). The hinge shall be hard soldered to the vertical center line of the suspension star 1/8 inch 1/64 inch up from the bottom-most point of the suspension star. The arm for the hinge joint is integral with the pendant. A

14、TTACHING DEVICE FOR PENDANT AND NECKBAND: The suspension ring through which the neckband passes shall be made of Red Brass 85/15 (UNS Alloy C-230), conform to the dimensions specified below. The pendant ring shall be hard soldered to the reverse of the suspension star as shown in such a way that it

15、is not visible viewing the assembled decorations obverse. 16、r may deviate from this drawing by increasing the finished length of the neckband to 26 inches + 1/2 inch - 0. DECORATION CASE: The decoration set shall consist of a neckband with pendant and suspension star (assembled), a service ribbon with ribbon attachment, and a lapel button all packaged in a d

17、ecoration case conforming to MIL-C-14633, Type XV, Style 3, with a Type I Class 1 pad. The following shall be inscribed on the top of the decoration case using three lines: (Line 1) CONGRESSIONAL (Line 2) BADGE OF BRAVERY (Line 3) FEDERAL. NOTES: 1. The term (REF) refers to the measurements taken fr

18、om the obverse Government furnished hub or die. 2. The manufacturer may deviate from MIL-DTL-3943 by using nickel underplating prior to plating -1 and -2 with 24K gold. 3. Hard cloisonn enamel may be used in lieu of epoxy for -1 and -2. If hard cloisonn enamel is used, the required base material for

19、 -1 and -2 is Gilding Metal 95/5 (UNS Alloy C-210). 4. The specification slash sheet for the ribbon for the neckband and service ribbon is MIL-DTL-11589/640. 5. The specification slash sheet for the ribbon attachment is MIL-DTL-41819/50. 6. The specification slash sheet for the lapel button is MIL-D
