1、METRIC A-A-52528 .LktdlfXlW% SUPERSEDING MS53042B (AT) 15 January 1991 COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION BRACKET, EXHAUST, MUFFLER AND TAILPIPE (METRIC) The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description (CID) for all federal agencies. 1. SCOPE. This CID covers

2、requirements for brackets used as supports in assembling exhaust mufflers and tailpipes. 2.1 Materials. Brackets shall be made of carbon steel, G10060-G10250 Unified Numbering Systems (UNS). The use of recovered material made in compliance with regulatory requirements is acceptable providing that al

3、l requirements of this CID are met (see 5.6). 2.1.1 Einish. Brackets shall be Zinc plated per ASTM B633, Type II, Service Condition 4 (thickness class Fe/Zn 25), after all bending and welding operations are complete. 2.2 figure 1. * . Identification and marking shall be permanent and legible and shall include, as a minimum, the manufacturers CAGE code, and the part identification number (PIN) (see 5.2 and 5.3). 3. QUITYAssYRANCEPRYISIONS 3.1 Respansihilityforinspection. The contractor is responsible for

9、 the performance of all inspections (examinations and tests). 3.2 htra.ceriificatbn. The contractor shall certify and maintain substantiating evidence that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this commercial item description and that the product conforms to the producers own dra

10、wings, specifications, workmanship standards, and quality assurance practices. Items with known defects shall not be submitted for Government acceptance. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to the first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for

11、 under the provisions of the contract. 4. PRESERVATION, PACKAGING, PACKING, LABELING, AND MARKING. Preservation, packaging, packing, labeling, and marking shall be as specified in the contract or order (see 5.2). 5. NQTES.
