3、ued to update the Title Page to indicate the latest approval date as an American National Standard and to include the proposals dated April 12, 2013. The following revisions were made: Replacement of inorganic reinforced cement board with ber-cement board throughout the entire standard. Revisions to
4、 the referenced mounting methods in 4.3. Revision of A1.4 to add more details for ber-cement board. Text that has been changed in any manner or impacted by ULs electronic publishing system is marked with a vertical line in the margin. Changes in requirements are marked with a vertical line in the ma
5、rgin and are followed by an effective date note indicating the date of publication or the date on which the changed requirement becomes effective. 21、ts own structural quality or the manner in which it is applied, is capable of supporting itself in position or being supported in the test furnace to a thickness comparable to its intended use. 1.2 The purpose of the test is to determine the comparative burning characteristics of the material under
22、test by evaluating the spread of ame over its surface and the density of the smoke developed when exposed to a test re, and thus to establish a basis on which surface burning characteristics of different materials are compared, without specic regard to all the end-use parameters that affect the surf
23、ace burning characteristics. 1.3 This method of test is intended to register performance during the period of exposure, and not to determine suitability for use after the test exposure. Reference the requirements in the Standard for Fire Tests of Building Construction and Materials, UL 263, for proc
24、edures for determining the performance, under re exposure conditions, of building constructions and materials when incorporated into a test structure and subjected to a standard exposing re of controlled extent and severity. 2 General 2.1 Values stated without parentheses are the requirement.
