AN
7、SI approval was secured under the Canvass Method. BHMA was accredited on 21 March 1983 by ANSI as a sponsor using the Canvas Method. This Standard was developed as a joint effort by members of SDI, WDMA, DHI, HMMA, BHMA and CSDMA. The comittee is grateful to Alan Ashachik for his guidance and techni
8、cal contributions as the first chairman of the reconstituted group.The BHMA recognizes that errors will be found, items will become obsolete, and new products, methods and materials will be developed. With this in mind, the Asociation plans to update, corect and revise these Standards on a regular b

SCOPE AND PURPOSE 1.1 This Standard covers al significant dimensional attributes for mounting comon hardware products in wood doors and metal or wood frames. All dimensions shall b
15、e as shown on the accompanying drawings. 1.2 This standard was developed to show only the most comonly used preparations for door hardware, and provide targets for standardization. Where multiple configurations are in comon usage, separate drawings are provided. For other configurations, it is recog
16、nized that these standards may be used in part, or with exceptions, while stil providing some degree of basic guidance and standardization.5 2. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS 2.1 Preparations covered by this standard are intended for use in doors 1 inches (44.5mm) 1/16 inch (1.6m) in thicknes unless otherwise
17、 specified. 2.2 The center line of the lock in the door shal be located in reference to the center line of its strike. 2.3 Location of Operable Parts in accessible openings shall be between 34 and 48 inches. 2.4 Door Edge Doors shal be furnished with a beveled or square edge unless otherwise specifi
18、ed. 2.5 Door Reinforcement Doors shall be properly reinforced to support the performance requirements of the hardware application. 2.6 Tolerances for cutouts are shown on individual drawings. 2.7 Metric Equivalents are shown in the table below (inclusion in the individual drawings is not posible due
