3、ecification covers requirements and test methodsfor material dimensions and tolerances, hydrostatic burststrength, chemical resistance, and rapid crack resistance ofpolyethylene pipe, tubing, and fittings for use in fuel gas mainsand services for direct burial and reliner applications. The pipeand f
4、ittings covered by this specification are intended for use inthe distribution of natural gas. Requirements for the qualifyingof polyethylene systems for use with liquefied petroleum gasare also covered.1.1.1 This specification does not cover threaded pipe. De-sign considerations are discussed in App
5、endix X1. In-plantquality control programs are specified in AnnexA1 and AnnexA2.1.1.2 See Specification F2619/F2619M for polyethylenepiping for pressure or non-pressure oil and gas producingapplications to convey fluids such as oil, dry or wet gas,multiphase fluids, and non-potable oilfield water.1.
