6、working gas capacity in underground storage was 4,213 Bcf, with a total deliverability of 93,413 MMcf per day. The United States imported 3.5 trillion cubic feet of natural gas in 2011, primarily from Canada. Delivery The U.S. natural gas industry had 2.44 million miles of pipeline including distrib
7、ution, services, transmission, and gathering lines in place in 2011. Sales Gas utility sales decreased 1.2 percent in 2011 to 7,883 trillion Btu. Residential sales decreased 1.9 percent from 2011 levels. Commercial sales decreased 1.6 percent. Industrial sales increased 2.3 percent. Prices The avera
8、ge retail natural gas price decreased 3.9 percent in 2011 compared to 2010. The average residential price decreased 3.1 percent. Average commercial prices decreased 4.3 percent.
