23、 a worldwide federation of national standards bodies (ISO member bodies). The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through ISO technical committees. Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been established has the right to be represen

24、ted on that committee. International organizations, governmental and non-governmental, in liaison with ISO, also take part in the work. ISO collaborates closely with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) on all matters of electrotechnical standardization. International Standards are dr

25、afted in accordance with the rules given in the ISO/IEC Directives, Part 2. The main task of technical committees is to prepare International Standards. Draft International Standards adopted by the technical committees are circulated to the member bodies for voting. Publication as an International S

34、ard gives a nomenclature, in English and French, of pliers and nippers for electronics. The pliers and nippers may be supplied with or without return springs or sleeves. The cutting nippers may be supplied with a safety device (lead catcher). NOTE 1 The figures in this International Standard are giv

35、en as examples only and are not intended to affect the manufacturers design. NOTE 2 In addition to terms used in the official ISO languages (English and French), this International Standard gives the equivalent terms in the German, Italian and Spanish languages; these are published under the respons
