The term “socket-outle

23、t“ covers also socket-outlet with incorporated components such as switches and fuses etc. (see also 14.22). 4 General requirements Replace the last paragraph by the following: Components such as plugs, socket-outlets (including multiple socket-outlets) and flexible cables of the cord extension sets

24、shall be fully compliant with, and have been verified against, the relevant product standards for those components. 5 General remarks on tests 5.1 Add at the end of the subclause a new Note as follows: 60884-2-7 Amend.1 IEC:2013 3 NOTE In the following country, the following tests are carried out on

25、 samples of the cord extension set in accordance with the sampling requirements specified in Clauses 5, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 28, 29 and 30: ZA. 6 Ratings 6.2 Replace the existing text in item c) by the following new text: c) the rated current of the overcurrent protective device h

26、aving the smallest rated current. 8 Marking 8.1 Delete the existing instructions “Addition after the fourth dashed text:“ and “Addition after the fifth dashed text:“ and the existing Notes 101 and 102. Add, at the beginning of the subclause, the following instructions: Delete the first three dashed

27、texts. Add the following paragraphs after the 7th dashed text: For cord extension sets, the marking of the manufacturers or responsible vendors name, trademark or identification mark shall be applied only if the manufacturer of the cord extension set is different to the manufacturer of the socket-ou

28、tlet. NOTE 101 The marking of the name, trade mark or identification mark of the manufacturer or responsible vendor may for example be applied on a sleeve or label provided around the cord. For a cord extension set, the type reference, which may be a catalogue number, shall be placed on the smallest

29、 packaging unit. Add after the word “MAX“: This marking shall be durable and easily legible with normal or corrected vision, without additional magnification. Renumber the existing Note 103 as the new Note 102. 14 Construction of plugs and portable socket-outlets 14.1 Add “DE” at the end of Note 1.

30、Add the following new Note 3 after the second paragraph: NOTE 3 In the following country BS 1363 applies to plugs and socket outlets: UK. Add the following new Note 4 after the third paragraph: NOTE 4 In the following country BS 1363 applies to fused plugs: UK. Add the following new Note 5 after the

31、 fourth paragraph: NOTE 5 In the following country, flexible cords to BS6500 or BS7919 are also permitted: UK. 14.2 Add a new Note 4 after Note 3: NOTE 4 In the following country the minimum cross-sectional area is 1 mm2for 5 m maximum length and 1,5 mm2for 30 m maximum length: CH. 4 60884-2-7 Amend
