ThePrivateSignallingSystemNo.1(PSS1)asdefinedinISO/IEC11572and11574definesthesignallingprocedures andprotocolforcallcontrolbetweenPINXsattheQreferencepoint.Theseproceduresareindependentofthetypesof IVNs,calledscenariosusedtointerconnectthePINXs.ISO/IECTR14475descri

InordertoconnectaPINXtoanotherPINX,mappingfunctionsarerequiredtoadaptthespecificinterfacesattheC referencepointtotheapplicationattheQreferencepoint.Assuch,mappingfunctionsprovideforphysicaladaptation totheinterfaceattheCreferencep

15、tablished,usuallyforthedurationofacontractualperiod.ThesemipermanentIPCis theconnectionwhoseresourcesarereservedforspecifiedtimesduringacontractualperiod.ThesemipermanentIPCis establishedbymanagementcontrolwithorwithoutuseractivations.InthisInternationalStandard,thesemipermanent IPCestablishedbymana

TheIVNcanbeadedicatedphysicallink,dedicatedtransmissionsystemoracrossconnectsystem,orsemipermanent connectionsystem.IVNswhichincludeinversemulitlexertechniques(e.g.channelaggregationinaccordancewith ISO/IEC13871)arecoveredbythisInternationalStandards
