The intent of the bar coding described in this standard is to provide basic identification information for a transformer or step-voltage regulator and as an aid in linking to

This standard describes requirements for a permanent bar-code label that may be part of the nameplate as well as for a temporary bar-code label intended primarily for material managem

Requirements described in this standard address bar-code label format, desired location of labels on specific types of transformers and step-voltage regulators, and performance requirements of the bar-code labels.
