2、ribes test conditions and sets the dimensions for specimens. MC 1110 SAMPLING METHOD MC 1111 TEST MATERIALS The location and orientation of specimens in the test samples are specified in SECTION II under general provisions and technical specifications and shall be indicated in the documents issued b
3、y the Manufacturer or materials Supplier. MC 1112 WELDING The location of test specimens is specified in annex S I to SECTION IV. MC 1200 MECHANICAL TESTS Test conditions and dimensions of specimens shall comply with AFNOR standards* referred to below and with any modifications or additional specifi
4、cations appearing in this chapter. * Note : Titles of AFNOR standards have been translated for the RCC-M. MC 1210 TENSILE TESTS Tension testing machines shall be verified as specified in standard NF EN ISO 7500-1. Machines used shall be at least class 1. Extensometers shall be verified as specified
5、in standard NF EN ISO 9513 (extensometers used shall be class 1 or better), or as specified in ASTM E.83 (extensometers used shall be class B2 or better) n 113-2007 MC 1000 / 1 RCC-M - Edition 2007 Section III - MC MC 1211 TENSILE TESTING AT ROOM TEMPERATURE Standards NF EN 10002-1 and NF EN 895 sha
6、ll be applied taking the following remarks into account: A - NF EN 10002-1 Tension testing (test method). ANNEX D Specimen diameter shall be 10 mm (reduced section). Where a specimen of this diameter cannot be procured, small specimens may only be used for information purposes or where explicit prov
7、ision is made for this possibility. ANNEX E Where the thickness of the tube (or fitting) allows, a test specimen with a diameter of 10 mm shall be used. Otherwise, the test shall be performed on strips cut from the tube (or fitting) or on sections of tube (or fitting). B - NF EN 895 Destructive test
8、s on metal component welds. Transverse-weld tensile test. The degassing treatment proposed in the note of paragraph 5.3 of the standard is not allowed. MC 1212 TENSILE TESTING AT HIGH TEMPERATURE The standard NF EN 10002-5 shall be applied taking the following remarks into account: - Paragraph 6.2,
9、annex C: Test specimen diameter shall be 10 mm (reduced section). Where a specimen of this diameter cannot be procured, small specimens may be tested where explicit provision is made for this possibility. - Paragraph 6.2, annex D Where the thickness of the tube (or fitting) allows, a test specimen w
10、ith a diameter of 10 mm shall be used. Otherwise, the test shall be performed on strips cut from the tube (or fitting) or on sections of tube (or fitting). - Paragraph 10.3 The rate of stressing shall not exceed 80 MPa per minute up to yield strength. 11、ITTLE TRANSITION CURVES Testing machines shall be verified as specified in standard NF EN 10045.2. This verification should be carried out at twelve month intervals and no less than once every 18 months. MC 1000 / 2 n 113-2007 RCC-M - Edition 2007 Section III - MC MC 1221 IMPACT TESTS Dimensions of
12、specimens and test conditions shall comply with the prevailing AFNOR standard referred to below. A - NF EN 10045.1 Charpy impact test Each test shall involve 2 or 3 specimens in compliance with the specifications of SECTIONS II and IV. For each specimen the percent shear fracture and the lateral exp
13、ansion value must be measured if so required in the procurement specification. These measurements are made in accordance with the indications in B and C below. B - Percent shear fracture - in accordance with specification ASTM A 370 C - Lateral expansion value - in accordance with specification ASTM
14、 A 370 Micrometer readings shall also be authorized, provided that the following precautions are taken: - eL= (e - e1) mm. where eL= lateral expansion, - faces A and B of the two halves of the specimen must be positioned in the exact same plane (P), - lateral expansion values shall be the average re
15、sults of three different measurements. MC 1222 PLOTTING THE DUCTILE-TO-BRITTLE TRANSITION CURVE Tests shall be performed in compliance with MC 1221 at no less than five different temperatures, under the following conditions: - one test at 0C, - one at a temperature on the lower shelf of the curve, c
16、orresponding to less than 10% fibrous fracture, - one at a temperature equal to 100% fibrous fracture, - other temperatures selected with a view to defining the shape of the curve as accurately as possible. As specified by NF EN 10045.1, the temperature of the specimen at fracture shall not differ b
17、y more than 2C from the specified test temperature. The following are used to plot the curve: - absorbed energy values as a function of test temperature, - percent shear fracture values as a function of test temperature. Transition temperature TK 50% is the temperature at which percent shear fractur
18、e is 50%. n 113-2007 MC 1000 / 3 RCC-M - Edition 2007 Section III - MC SCHEMA MC 1221 MC 1230 PELLINI DROP WEIGHT TEST (determination of TNDT) Preparation of specimens and test conditions shall be as stipulated in specification ASTM E 208. Before each series of tests is performed, it is to be ensure
19、d load will be exerted from the correct height (within tolerance limits of + 10% and 0%). The weight of this load shall also be known. Test specimens shall be type P3 with dimensions as shown on figure MC 1230.1. Table MC 1230.1 shows test temperatures for cases where specification calls for an RTND
20、T 0C. Table MC 1230.2 shows test temperatures for cases where specification calls for an RTNDT + 16C. 21、Section III - MC FIGURE MC 1230.1 DIMENSIONS OF TYPE P3 SPECIMENS MC 1240 DETERMINATION OF REFERENCE NIL DUCTILITY TRANSITION TEMPERATURE RTNDTshall be determined by conducting both Pellini drop weight and KV impact tests. Pellini drop weight tests shall be performed as specified in MC 1230. KV impa
22、ct tests shall be performed as specified in MC 1221 A. Test temperatures shall be set on the basis of TNDTtemperature (see MC 1230 above). The tests shall be performed as follows (on KV specimens): a) the test is considered valid when each of the three specimens in a given series simultaneously prov
23、ides the following results at a given test temperature: - energy absorbed by breakage 68 J - lateral expansion 0.9 mm. n 113-2007 MC 1000 / 7 RCC-M - Edition 2007 Section III - MC b) the first series of specimens is broken at a temperature of: TTCV1= TNDT+ 33C If conditions set forth in a) above are
24、 met, then: RTNDT= TNDTIf the results differ from those specified in a) above, a second series of specimens is tested as specified in c) below. c) where necessary, a second series of specimens shall be broken at a temperature of: TTCV2= TCV1+ 5C If conditions set forth in a) are met, then: RTNDT= TC
