4、示一种预料或可能性。如: Youre supposed to clean all the rooms. 你应该打扫所有房间。 She is expected to be a good singer. 她有希望成为一名好歌手。,拓展 suppose用法汇总: (1)suppose+that引导的宾语从句,that可以省略。如: I dont suppose she will go with you. 我猜想她不会和你一起去。 (2)suppose+名词/代词+不定式。如: Why do you suppose her to have been there? 你为什么推测她去过那儿? (3)sup

5、pose+名词/代词+名词(宾语补足语)。如: Ive never supposed him a hero. 我从来没有认为他是一个英雄。,(4)suppose+名词/代词+形容词(宾语补足语)。如: We all suppose him intelligent. 我们都认为他很聪明。 (5)be supposed to do sth.。如: Youre not supposed to stay out too late. 你不应该在外面待得太晚。 (6)suppose后也可接so代替整个宾语从句,但当宾语从句为否定句时,只能转移否定,不能用not否定so,当然也可用否定词 not代替整个宾语从句。如: Will he come? 他会来吗? Yes,I suppose so./No,I suppose not./No,I dont suppose so. 是的,我想他会来。/不,我想他不会来。/不,我认为他不会来。,
