PART 1 - GENERAL 1.1 DESCRIPTION This section specifies top supported, accordion folding, vinyl covered doors. 1.2 RELATED WORK Color and texture of vinyl fabric and color of enamel finish on steel track: Section 09 06 00, SCHEDULE FOR FINISHES. 1.3 MANUFACTURERS QUALIF

3、ICATIONS Accordion folding doors shall be the product of a manufacturer regularly engaged in the manufacture of accordion folding doors specified. 1.4 PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS A. When doors are fully extended and latched, they shall provide a complete closure of the opening. B. When compressed, door

4、s shall stack in a space no greater than 12 mm per 300 mm (1/2 inch per foot) of opening width plus the thickness of the lead post. 1.5 SUBMITTALS A. Submit in accordance with Section 01 33 23, SHOP DRAWINGS, PRODUCT DATA, AND SAMPLES. B. Shop Drawings: Folding doors, showing each door (location and

5、 size) and method of installation. C. Samples: Vinyl covering; 150 mm (6 inch) square samples of each color and each texture to be used D. Surface Burning Characteristics of Building Materials PART 2 - PRODUCTS 2.1 MATERIALS A. Vinyl Covering: Pigmented polyvinyl-chloride fused to

8、 mildew resistant cotton fabric topped with stabilized, clear virgin vinyl weighing not less than 1000 gpm2 (27 ounces per square yard). Vinyl shall not peel, craze or crack after repeated operations or long idle standing and shall remain flexible when cold. Vinyl fabric material shall have a maximu

9、m flame spread of 25 and a maximum smoke developed rating of 50 when tested by ASTM E84. B. Sheet Steel: ASTM 1008, cold rolled, commercial quality for door tracks, load and jamb posts. The cast or heat analysis report mentioned in the ASTM is not required. 2.2 FABRICATION A. General: Doors shall be

10、 factory fabricated, and be designed to provide stability and uniform spacing of folds during operation. B. Track, Jamb Post, Lead Post, Jamb Channel and Hinges: Rust resistant steel not less than 1.2 mm (0.0478 inch) thick. Hinges shall be zinc-coated. Track shall have tread surface contoured for m

11、inimum friction. C. Trolley: Wheels shall be steel ball bearing type with nylon treads. D. Hardware: Each side of door shall have latching device and pull handles and keeper on door frame. Exposed hardware shall have finish to harmonize with finish of hardware in room. 2.3 CONSTRUCTION A. Doors shal

12、l be top supported on door frames without floor guides. Tracks shall be concealed with wood strips that match doors and with edges chamfered. B. Construct doors with collapsible and extendable hinge plates across top and bottom, and weld them to interconnecting vertical steel rods to provide smooth,

13、 positive operation so that all sections extend and collapse equally and simultaneously. C. Covering shall be fastened to hinges with concealed steel clips. 14、r surfaces of hardware, clean exposed metal surfaces free of foreign matter, oil, and grease. B. Give surfaces a prime coat of paint; then apply finish coat of baked-on enamel. PART 3 - EXECUTION 3.1 SITE CONDITIONS Verify field dimensions prior to fabrication. 3.2 INSTALLATION A. Anchorage: Secure

15、track to underside of head of door frame with fasteners of size and type as recommended or specified by the door manufacturer. Track shall be centered in door frame. B. Adjustment: Provide shims or other means as required to make doors fit openings. Doors shall be installed so that strike edge member fits tight to jamb for full height of door.
