5、g Point of Bitumen (ASTM D36/D36M); or3. at least 25 C less than the softening point of the compound as determined by the StandardTest Method for Vicat Softening Temperature of Plastics (ASTM D1525).RATIONALE FOR DECISION:The addition of D36/D36M is a clarification of current practice, since the sco

6、pe of E28 already requiresthat test method D36 be used when testing asphalts, tars, and pitches.The addition of the D1525 allows manufacturers the option of evaluating the suitability of potting materialsusing a more widely available and well established test method.
