3、ject: Assisted / Closed Loop Cooking for Induction CooktopsDECISION:47 Operation of Controls47.9 Induction cooktop surface units employing an assisted/closed loop cooking functionality shall beconstructed so they can only be activated manually using the 2 steps ON function, and terminatedmanually at
4、 the appliance by the 1 step OFF function.47.10 The assisted/closed loop cooking temperature regulating function shall be evaluated as anoperating control with type 2 action. The hardware and software elements of the cookware intended to beused with the cooktop shall meet the requirements of a Class
5、 A control function provided that the cooktopcontrol is compliant to the requirements outlined in table SB5.1 and employs supervisory safeguards toreduce the risk of malfunction.47.11 For assisted/closed loop cooking function to be realized, the cooktop control and the respectivecookware shall be ev
6、aluated together as a “system” to determine compatibility, and subjected to the testsof Clause 16, Annex H.17 and the applicable tests of Annex H.26 of UL 60730-187.17 For Induction cooktop surface units employing an assisted/closed loop cooking functionality whichare dependent upon a system evaluat
7、ion, in accordance with 47.10 and 47.11, the Use Instructions shouldinclude a statement, “Suitable for Use with the specific type of cookware utensilmldr ”, or similaridentification of cookware utensil.SB5 Control FunctionsSB5.1 Safety critical functions have been considered with respect to the oper
