Commercial systems are intended for installation in commercia
4、l locations, andare intended for use by the general public.2.25 Interlock An interlock is a device or arrangement by which the function of one part is controlled bythe functioning of another. Commonly used in a safety circuit to de-energize electrical components and/orstop moving parts that become e
5、xposed when an enclosure is opened or when a cover is removed.Exposure of these parts without proper operation of the interlock device would increase the risk of fire,electric shock, or injury.(NEW SECTION)84 Commercial Lamp Disposal Systems84.1 The requirements in Sections 84 88 cover commercial la
6、mp disposal systems, and supplement, orin some cases modify the general requirements in Section279ofthis Standard.(NEW SECTION)85 Construction85.1 Power supply connections85.1.1 Power supply connections for a stationary product intended solely for permanent connection to thepower supply and for a fi
7、xed product shall comply with Section 12.3.85.1.2 Power supply connections for a stationary product intended to be cord-connected shall comply withSection 12.2, including 12.2.2.6. For a commercial lamp disposal system connected to the electricalsupply by a flexible cord, the wiring compartment shal
8、l be constructed and the cord attached such thatthe cord can be easily removed to allow the system to be connected to a permanent wiring system inaccordance with 12.3. 9、 UL85.2.1 An interlock shall be provided if required by Section 39. If provided, an interlock shall comply withSection 39.85.2.2 Additionally, an interlock shall comply with the following:85.2.2.1 The actuator of an interlock switch shall be located or protected so that it cannot be easilydefeated.8
10、5.2.2.2 An interlock is considered to comply with the requirement in 85.2.2.1 if it cannot be defeated byuse of the probe illustrated in Figure 11.1 or if another acceptable arrangement of the interlock or systemof interlocks is provided.85.2.2.3 An interlock shall not be capable of being defeated b
11、y material or lamp fragment accumulationthat could occur in normal use.85.2.2.4 Operation of an interlock in normal use shall not inconvenience the operator so as to encouragedeliberate defeat of the interlock.85.2.2.5 Unless known to be acceptable for 100,000 cycles of operation, an interlock shall
12、 withstand100,000 cycles of operation controlling a load no less severe than it controls in the appliance, and shallfunction normally upon completion of the test.85.2.2.6 If an automatically reset protective device is employed in an appliance, automatic restarting ofthe motor shall not result in a r
13、isk of injury.85.2.2.7 The requirement in 85.2.2.6 necessitates the use of an interlock if moving parts or the like maycause a risk of injury to persons upon automatic restarting of the motor.85.4 Acoustical And Thermal Insulation85.4.1 Combustible or electrically conductive acoustical and heat-insu
14、lating material shall not be locatedso as to make contact with an uninsulated live part.85.4.2 Mineral-wool thermal insulation shall not contact an uninsulated live part if it contains conductiveimpurities such as slag that may introduce a risk of fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.(NEW SECT
15、ION)86 Performance86.1 Sections 42 66 of this Standard apply. Additionally, 86.2 86.5 apply.86.2 Maximum normal load, Section 46.2, is considered to be operating continuously feeding bulbs of thetype and size indicated, as quickly as possible as permitted by the machine. If the machine will permitmo
16、re than one bulb to be inserted at a time, a minimum of five bulbs shall be inserted at one time, unlessthe instructions indicate more, or the machine otherwise limits the number of bulbs to a lower amount.During testing, actual lamp bulbs may be substituted by equivalent alternatives (i.e. decorati
17、ve holidayglobes) if the load can be accurately represented.86.3 For abnormal operation test in Section 54, consideration shall be given to objects other than lamps(i.e. brick, paper, general trash, liquid containers) being inserted into the machine.86.4 Continuity Test Of Grounding CircuitSTANDARD
18、NUMBER: UL 73 -2-UL COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL NOT AUTHORIZED FOR FURTHER REPRODUCTION ORDISTRIBUTION WITHOUT PERMISSION FROM UL86.4.1 The resistance between the point of connection of the equipment-grounding means, at or within theappliance, and any point in the grounding circuit shall not be more than 0
19、.1 ohm.86.4.2 With reference to 86.4.1, the resistance may be determined by any convenient method. However,if unacceptable results are obtained, an alternating current of at least 20 A from a source of supply of notmore than 12 V is to be passed from the point of connection of the equipment-groundin
20、g means to themetal part in the grounding circuit, and the resulting drop in potential is to be measured between thesetwo points. The resistance in ohms is to be determined by dividing the drop in potential in volts by thecurrent in amperes passing between the two points. The grounding conductor of
21、a power-supply cord isnot to be included in this measurement.86.5 Flexing of Wiring86.5.1 A lamp disposal system in which intended operation of movable parts mechanically affects wiringor other insulated live parts, shall operate successfully in the intended manner for the number of cyclesspecified
