4、ers9A.2.1 A lampholder shall have an electrical rating suitable for the LED lamp load to be used.9A.3 Printed wiring boards9A.3.1 A printed wiring board shall comply with requirements in Clause 4.1 and shall additionally complywith the requirements in UL 8750 and CSA C22.2 No 250-13.9A.4 LED drivers

5、, LED arrays (modules), LED control modules, and LED packages9A.4.1 A LED driver, LED array (module), LED control module, and LED package shall comply with therequirements in Clause 4.1.9A.5 Emergency battery packs9A.5.1 A luminaire provided with a factory-installed emergency battery pack shall be:(

6、a) installed in accordance with the installation instructions marked on or provided with the pack;and(b) marked to indicate emergency backup in accordance with Table 20.1.1, Item 1.42.9A.6 Class P LED Drivers9A.6.1 These requirements apply to luminaires having Class P drivers.9A.6.2 When a supply co

14、e lamp of the type in Annex G shall be marked with a lampreplacement with marking as noted in Annex G.9A.7.5 A luminaire having a replaceable lamp of a type other than those noted in Annex G shall bemarked, in a location visible during lamp replacement with; “CAUTION - Risk of Fire. The marking shall be in the format of S24-L1.RATIONALE FOR DECISION:UL 1598 is presently silent with regard to supplemental requirements for luminaires having LED lightsources. While it is generally understood that UL 8750 and CSA C22.2 No. 250.13 are used tosupple

16、ment the general requirements in UL 1598 for LED luminaires, this new Section 9A provides thenecessary references and also includes several additional requirements that are applicable to LEDluminaires.Additionally included as Section 9A.6 are supplemental requirements for LED luminaires having Class

17、 PLED drivers. These additional requirements are based on the current requirements in UL 1598 section 8.3and clause 8.5.2 (j), which address cord and conductor temperature ratings for Fluorescent luminaireshaving thermally protected ballast (Class P ballasts).Copyright 2016 Underwriters Laboratories
