29、, cdma2000 High Rate Packet Data Supplemental Services. 14 TIA-1119 1-11 OVERVIEW 1.1 Scope 1 These technical requirements form a signaling conformance standard for supplemental 2 services on cdma2000 high rate packet data systems. These requirements ensure that a 3 compliant access terminal can obt

30、ain service through any access network conforming to 4 6. These requirements do not address the quality or reliability of that service, nor do they 5 cover equipment performance or measurement procedures. 6 This specification is primarily oriented toward requirements necessary for the signaling 7 co

31、nformance of access terminals and to a limited extent to that of access network. 8 1.2 Terms and Definitions 9 Access Network (AN). The network equipment providing data connectivity between a 10 packet switched data network (typically the Internet) and the access terminals. An access 11 network is e

32、quivalent to a base station in 9. 12 Access Terminal (AT). A device providing data connectivity to a user. An access terminal 13 may be connected to a computing device such as a laptop personal computer or it may be a 14 self-contained data device such as a personal digital assistant. An access term

33、inal is 15 equivalent to a mobile station in 9. 16 Channel. The set of channels transmitted between the access network and the access 17 terminals within a given frequency assignment. A Channel consists of a Forward Link and a 18 Reverse Link. 19 Forward Channel. The portion of the Channel consistin

34、g of those Physical Layer Channels 20 transmitted from the access network to the access terminal. 21 Forward Control Channel. The channel that carries data to be received by all access 22 terminals monitoring the Forward Channel. 23 Forward Traffic Channel. The portion of the Forward Channel that ca

35、rries information for 24 a specific access terminal. The Forward Traffic Channel can be used as either a Dedicated 25 Resource or a non-Dedicated Resource. Prior to successful access terminal authentication, 26 the Forward Traffic Channel serves as a non-Dedicated Resource. Only after successful 27

36、access terminal authentication can the Forward Traffic Channel be used as a Dedicated 28 Resource for the specific access terminal. 29 NULL. A value which is not in the specified range of the field. 30 QN. QuickNak Protocol provides over the air loss detection for a SAR layer data stream. 31 Reserva

37、tion. Air interface resources set up by the access network to carry a higher layer 32 flow. A Reservation is identified by its ReservationLabel. ReservationLabels are bound to 33 Link Flows that carry higher layer flows. A Reservation can be either in the Open or Close 34 state. 35 Reverse Access Ch

38、annel. The portion of the Reverse Channel that is used by access 36 terminals to communicate with the access network when they do not have a traffic channel 37 assigned. There is a separate Reverse Access Channel for each sector of the access network. 38 Reverse Channel. The portion of the Channel c

39、onsisting of those Physical Layer Channels 39 transmitted from the access terminal to the access network. 40 Reverse Traffic Channel. The portion of the Reverse Channel that carries information from 41 a specific access terminal to the access network. The Reverse Traffic Channel can be used 42 TIA-1

40、119 1-2 as either a Dedicated Resource or a non-Dedicated Resource. Prior to successful access 1 terminal authentication, the Reverse Traffic Channel serves as a non-Dedicated Resource. 2 Only after successful access terminal authentication can the Reverse Traffic Channel be 3 used as a Dedicated Re

41、source for the specific access terminal. 4 RLP. Radio Link Protocol provides reliable delivery if needed, in-order delivery if needed, 5 and duplicate detection for a higher layer data stream. 6 SAR. Segmentation and Reassembly protocol provides reliable delivery if needed, in-order 7 delivery if ne

43、 sub-section require access to any machine from which a ping packet can be 3 transmitted to the access terminal and a response can be received. “Cause” in the test 4 procedure refers to creating underlying conditions at the access network or access terminal 5 that result in transmission of certain m

44、essages or change of protocol states leading to such 6 transmission. As an example, changes at the physical layer could cause the access network 7 to transmit an ActivateRoute message. The conditions that lead to such message 8 transmissions are not specified in the standard 6 and are implementation

45、 dependent. The 9 ReservationLabelKK used in the test procedure refers to the value of the Higher layer 10 Protocol identifier 5 for the Flow Protocol being used to transmit ping packets. Link Flow 11 NN to which reservation label KK is mapped can be found from the FlowNNReservationFwd 12 or FlowNNR

46、eservationRev attribute. The use of route A or route B can be verified from the 13 route bit in the headers of the received RLP packets. If the bit was set to 0, then route A 14 was used, otherwise route B was used. 15 2.1.1 Access Network Tests 16 2.1.1.1 RLP Initialization Test 17 2.1.1.1.1 Defini

47、tion This test verifies that the access network initializes the RLP for a route after transmitting 18 an ActivateRoute request for the route. This test is only applicable if TwoRoutesSupported 19 attribute is set to 0x01. 20 2.1.1.1.2 Traceability See section 2.4.4.1.3 of 6 for details. 21 2.1.1.1.3

48、 Test Procedure a. Power up the access terminal. If the access terminal has an open session, instruct 22 the access terminal to close the session by transmitting a SessionClose message to 23 the access network. 24 b. Instruct the access terminal to set up a new session with the access network and to

49、 25 negotiate the use of the Enhanced Multi-Flow Packet Application bound to the 26 service access network (app type = 0x0009). 27 c. After the session configuration is over, instruct the access network to transmit a 28 ping packet. 29 d. Verify that the access network meets the minimum standard as per bullet 1 of 30 2.1.1.1.4. 31 TIA-1119 2-4 e. Cause the access network to transmit an ActivateRoute message requesting 1 activation of route B. 2 f.
