18、ion FOREWORD These application and installation guidelines offer practical information on correct usage and industry-recommended practices for service-entrance cable installation in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). They address service masts, sunlight resistance, submerged cables,
19、 conduit markings, aerial installation, suitability for branch and feeder circuits, termination requirements in wet locations, and important changes to the 2011 NEC. These guidelines were developed by the National Electrical Manufacturers Associations (NEMA) Building Wire and Cable Section, which ha
20、s committed to periodically reviewing them for any revisions necessary to address changing conditions, product listing and installation requirements, and technical progress. 23、serve as a grounded conductor to be white or gray throughout its entire length and circumferenceor (on other than green insulation) to have three equally spaced white stripes the entire length of the conductor. If there are multiple grounded conductors, only one may use white stripes. The additional
24、 grounded conductors may use a raised tracer, or one or more non-continuous or continuous straight or helical stripes, in a contrasting color other than green.
