Scope 4. Base Alignment This standard covers spe

2、cifications for tubular incan- descent infrared lamps. The two bases of an assembled lamp shall be so aligned with respect to each other that the lamp will enter, with- out binding, the two slots of the gage shown in Fig. 2. 2. Lamp Types The types of lamps are given in Table 1. 5. Seal Temperature

3、In the lamps covered by this standard, the metal-to- glass seal at each end of the lamp is intended for op eration at temperatures not exceeding 350C. AU equipment in which these lamps are to be used should, therefore, be designed so as to maintain the seal tempera- ture below this limit. The temper

4、ature measurement should be made with the thermocouple junction located over the central part of the metal-foil seal and in direct contact with the quartz. 3.
